I think it's silly to give up on Cam this early but it seems like they're intent on making the playoffs to keep Trae happy. We should be all over this.
Of course. But not all first round picks are equal. Low 1sts usually don't turn out to be anything, so if that's all it costs, I'll probably be ok with it. It is a risk, but it's not a big risk. I think AG fits our current (and future) team better than what we currently have. Further, I think that even if we decide to move off of him in a couple seasons that we will be able to do so for a positive return, because I think he will be better positioned to showcase his abilities here than in Orlando. So I don't think it's likely that he hurts a rebuild. I'm not saying that adding him to this team will bring us back to glory. But I do think the positives of adding him are enough to trade away certain assets.
not really. I’d rather a small step backwards than making a horrible trade limiting us further in the offseason. That’s truly a bad look
i guess you missed my posts because I wanted harden more than anyone. But ok? And my package was like brown Williams smart and picks originally
You never know. Removing one of your top bidders isn’t a good idea, so this definitely didn’t come from Orlando. It could be Gordon, but again...he’s not a star or a free agent, so nobody should care. This is a leak designed to lower the bids.
I thought Reddish was supposed to be an elite shooter coming out of high school/Duke. It hasn't played out, but hopefully it is still there. I wouldn't mind a player like him as a part of the package.
Rockets getting Cam? Lol Fertitta t*** would knot if he went that far into his savings around wall by big salary. It's wow are bust for a playoff chance.
I don't doubt at all that Gordon doesn't want to go to the Rockets (who would), but that doesn't mean that the Rockets won't trade for him and that the Magic won't send him to Houston.
Chris Haynes says Aaron Gordon only wants playoff teams and killed a trade to the rockets involving dipo https://twitter.com/sigd?ref_url=https://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=2064519start=960
When did Gordon turn into a future Hall of Famer? No player wants to go to a rebuild so does that mean a 3rd of the league has no access to trades? Hou was pigeonholed to trade Harden to 1 of 2 teams now being pushed out of even trying to improve team by players. Getting free agents when Hou was a contender was difficult. Hou can't sign significant FAs and can't trade for lower tier stars this really limits ways to improve this roster. This is getting ridiculous.
I'm not gonna read through this whole thread. Why in the ever loving hell would a team nowhere close to contending want Aaron Gordon? He's not a cornerstone, or even close, and he'll be in for a big pay raise after next season. He's the exact type of player we should be looking to get rid of, not bring on board.
Not getting Gordon is a blessing. Breh is trash. We should only be trading picks for young studs on rookie deals or good value long term deals. Give me Melton back. Melton >>> Gordon
Players can't dictate where they want to go unless there stars. Gordon is a 3rd-4th option on 7th seed team in east. Give me a break bro...
It's also weird that the Hawks would give up on Bogdan this early, too. They signed him 5 months ago; 4yr/72M contract. Dude then fractures his knee, is now back, and is now on the trading block.
ummm “bro” I think it’s ridiculous too and if it was me I’d tell him to lick my ass and send him wherever the hell I got the best deal but it doesn’t always work like that
He’s played awful, and he’s bad defensively , a poor athlete which is a nightmare to pair with Young. Dumb signing
