I'm not even a great fan of Herro, but i do like him and would be pretty great to get him for Dipo, but yeah, it's not happening. I guess 1st rounder and maybe Achiuwa would be the only other Heat trade i'd take, no interest in Nunn and Robinson, limited players with zero potential about to get paid, just a terrible combination, especially for us.
Based on the offers being reported for Oladipo (and Dipo's on court play), I just don't get how this FO concluded he was a more attractive asset than Levert. Maybe I'm missing something, who knows.
I thought Lowry wants to retire a Raptor. Said this just a few days ago. And the 411 out the great north was Lowry off the table. Of not, the Lowry is going to Philly. Count on it. 76ers have picks and young players but most importantly - Lowry is from Philly and Raptors will do right by him because he is THE franchise player, Toronto loves him and honors him. And I guess the Herro dreams are done, if Heat have no interest in Dipo.
Not happening. Heat not trading Herro. If they did trade Herro, it would be for LMA instead of Dipo. But they refuse give up their young assets. Even for James Harden. LMAO.
Trying to speak AG into existence and preventing Herro I see. @D-rock edit What would you prefer if one could actually exist for Oladipo straight up. Herro (rookie scale team control) and Olynyk (lesser salary ) Duncan Robinson (expiring but RFA) , KZ Okpala (rookie scale team control) and Andre Iguodala (higher salary with team option/ potential GSW interest) I'm honestly split. You could theoretically flip Iggy to GSW for Oubre.
Everyone believes they can unleash AG's full potential. Everyone but CF of course. 5 out offense and switch everything defense would be perfect for AG skillset and athleticism. Not every team plays this way. Just Rockets, Nets maybe Celtics, TWolves. And GSW once upon a time.
I'm going to assuage your feelings. Getting pretty strong indicators that Pelicans interest is high on Oladipo, due to the potential for "NOLADIPO" tie-ins and Tillman's connections with the Louisiana Sicilian Diaspora. From what I heard, T-shirts and merch pretty much run that town. Take it with the necessary grain of salt/plastic cup of Abita.
There's really no reason to keep him .... even if all you get is 2nds its better than keeping him around. Clear the salary & ensure you don't win any unnecessary games.
I mean PJ had two firsts involved in his transaction, with at least one being new and another being more advantageous. Dipo has to generate more than that Walrushorst.
Great stuff Mana! This will be valuable to bring back once Trade Deadline is over and then before the draft. Let's not forget it. With that said, your examples support what I was thinking when I looked at these charts--he's not putting a high enough value on the top picks or he's valuing the later picks for more than they're actually worth. I'd also say that there is a quality factor that isn't accounted for in his chart--the 1st pick and there after is more or less valuable based on the quality of the class (e.g. 2012 #1 is A. Davis in 2013 #1 is A. Bennett). We would all pay more for AD than we would for AB, hence this chart is interesting as an initial measure, but needs a little work. Hope that makes sense,
The use of transparent white boards is a real bad sign "oh you wrote "top 21 protected" I read "protected 12"
The biggest thing you're missing is LeVert has a long term contract and Oladipo comes off the books this year.
I think the retire as a raptor was like if he leaves come back and sign a 1 day contract as. A raptor if he left in free agency this offseason
Nope, he's the greatest Raptor in franchise history who owns most of the franchise records. Toronto media said that Lowry confirmed that he was going nowhere.
Levert is 26 and getting 17M/year. You're really telling me no one would want him? Isn't the knock on Oladipo that no one wants to trade for a rental?
