Nah man I get exactly what you're saying. I'm bringing up the cap because, we as a fanbase and in turn the Warriors fan base as well, should care nothing about the Luxury tax because that doesn't affect the product on the floor like cap space does. The only ones who'd care about that are ownership and it's clear that theirs doesn't as evidenced by the Oubre move. If the Warriors do end up trading that pick it'll be for something really good, not the ghost of Oladipo who's value has been tanked btw due to his public desire to go to the Heat as reported by Clutch himself.
They also could use young shooters on their rookie contracts. I really like Gordon but you must think he's a top 25 player in the league. If he was that good then Gordon teaming with Vuecic shouldn't be as bad as they are regularly.
I'm hoping to get Nnaji/Bol or Kancar for Tucker. VO to Miami for Herro would be optimal but I dont see a match in a deal. Wonder if EGo/House could get you A. Go?
https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=sftwitter I'm not going to post the full article but something very interesting in here. Next week? That coincides with the home stand. Starts on Sunday 3/14 and goes until 3/24...
We are basically buying that potential pick, we would have to take on the atrocious Wiggins contract plus their other trash.
Damn another week of torture. I was hoping something would happen before the restart. Ok, Stone make the wait worth it baby, bring us some goodies!
It seems like most moves will get dragged until 3/25 but not for a lack of effort. The market just isn’t ready yet. The deadline should have been today to be honest. Hopefully Oladipo balls out and the outlook changes fast.
I wouldn't mind everyone coming back and the Rockets playing some decent basketball, so Rafael has something to bring to the table.
there’s gonna be so much posturing and bs leaked this year even more so than most years. The play in tourney has teams who would normally be sellers either staying put or looking to buy. Combine that with teams who haven’t made the playoffs in a long time with a real shot and the added loss of revenue due to covid its gonna take Some deals right down to the deadline. asks will be super high and then get realistic as deadlines always create deals. Good news for teams like houston is there aren’t many sellers so someone should meet your demands
Well, it's like a market in Mexico. "How much is this?" "Fifty dollars." ("holy sh*t" expression, puts it back on shelf) "No, thanks." "Forty dollars." (moving toward exit) "Really, no thank you." "Thirty!" (at exit, but slower) "Have a good day." "Twenty-five." (standing just outside, paused, talking to sister, who says "Get it. It'd be so cute on you!" Now space that out over the next two weeks. F5, F5, F5.
Its gotten so bad that for the first time ever, there isn't a single player on the team I'd be upset seeing traded. Maybe Wood... but beyond him... to me any and all players can (and should) be traded. We're the Houston Razgu.
Gordon shooting 36% from 3 this season. Herro is shooting 34% from 3 this season. Mase who was just cut by Rockets was actually shooting 37% from 3. Rockets have greater needs than acquiring more 6'5 (or shorter) shooters who are in shooting slumps, no matter how young they are. And Mase is as good or better defender than Herro. Herro is fools gold.
