If just 1 rookie starter is your projection, then you are making too much if this. Having a young player go through fires of postseason is part of the learning process. Not very many young players have that opportunity. Both Hakeem and MJ did pretty good for themselves don't you think?
If you dont want to bench young players for players like Wall, then the AG (or similar player) trade is not your main beef. Your beef is with Silas. That's happening right now.
Those guys had degrees though. In those days rookies came out much earlier and were much more developed. Anybody we draft won't even be old enough to drink. I see you in the gamethreads with me clamoring for Wood touches. If our goal next year is the playoffs, it's gonna be 10x worse for whomever our rookie is. If I see Wall wave off our star rookie just to iso for himself I might just buy a jersey to burn it. To your other reply: Not just an AG trade but a commitment to being competitive next year in general. Being benched for Wall is one thing but if we sign Fournier or LouWill or something to compete and then they eat minutes then it'll be a disaster.
That's not a trade acquisition problem, that is a coaching problem. Does not matter what the goal is, Silas needs to get a hold of this right now, nevermind next year, postseason or not.
In the same vein as Houston’s Victor Oladipo, the Knicks don’t wish to give up first-round picks for the 27-year-old Powell as a rental and would prefer assurances he would re-sign if they make a move. However, league sources contend the Pacers are willing to overpay Powell in free agency and perhaps outbid the field. 2 mins ago – via Marc Berman @ New York Post
BREAKING: John Wall has unfollowed Victor Oladipo?!! ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ Edit: LOL Need to brush up on my French. “Manchot” means penguin.
Patience! If there are 2-3 offers you let them sit til tomorrow and see if any team adds some gravy to seal the deal. It’s only one day and could increase our return.
I understand. however , this is also the NBA , not 2k . No guarantees offers made today are there tomorrow. you get an acceptable offer , you ****ing pounce
