It's on the Chinese sports news since early September. Harris former CBA ball club has contacted Harris for his possible return in early September. Harris told them in mid September that he would know the answer by Oct. 10th. It looks like Harris has given his confirmation in early October. The coach of his former CBA tells the reporters that Harris is going to join the team on Oct 22nd.

Yeah,I heard about it a month ago.He will go back to China as a backup plan if he gets cut from the Rockets.Oh BTW,Malick Badiane is on that chinese team as well.I think they just signed him a couple of weeks ago.
Don't you guys know? Part of Yao's constitutes that china gets to reserve one 2nd tier player from the rockets roster to the CBA every year.
If true, perhaps this explains why Strawberry was scrimmaging with the first team the other day. Perhaps Coach Adelman doesnt think Aaron Brooks is ready to be the backup PG. We will see. If Harris is on our bench tongiht, then I believe it is just a rumor. Like the one that had Scola going back to Tau.
there is no doubt that he will be cut.but it doesn`t matter at all.he will play in CBA and get a good salary.if he has luck,he can join rocket like last season
Then we know its false. If the Rockets had already decided that Harris wouldn't be with the team back in September, then they would have acknowledged it long ago. Harris will tentatively return to his Chinese team. If the Rockets give him the offer, he obviously stays.
If I were Morey, I would rather cut strewbery as that we have a couple of PGs and SGs on team, and Mike will be helpful when Battier or Ron or Tmac is down.
They may hide him in china again like last year. Once the cba season is over Im sure we will se him back on the roster. But I do wish we could have him here all year. At least we will get more playing time and china and he can continue to work on his game.
