I feel sorry for Big Al, going to suck for him having to go and play in Utah every night.

Doubt the Ugly Al Jefferson was ever a part of the Rockets plans. Not their type of player.

I am really mystified as to how Jefferson is only worth a few first round draft picks and cap relief.

Maybe league people are convinced he won't be the same after his knee injury. Or it's an indication of gross incompetence by Minnesota.

Yao Ming is going to get eaten alive next year. His two biggest match-up problems are on the same team. DAmn it. Just when I thought the jazz where becoming the ****hole city it deserves to be....

    Deron Williams
    Paul Milsap
    Al Jefferson
    -----------------------

If they can add a few more pieces, that is a nice core to build around.

Okur and AK-47 need to be packaged...

Yes I would say gross incompetence. Kahn is a bit of a reckless cowboy.

    Williams/Price
    Matthews/Miles
    Kirlenko/????
    Jefferson/Millsap
    Okur/Fesenko

Pretty solid lineup. Jefferson's game really compliments Okur alot. Inside presence of Jefferson and outside perimeter play of Okur.

we could've giving them A LOT more for Jefferson. guess all these other GMs don't wanna deal with Morey. His rep with some other GMs probably isn't very good and his antics could be coming back on him. burning too many bridges.

This. A Jefferson/Millsap duo is more flexible than Boozer/Millsap who are more similar. Jefferson would also make the Jazz much more dynamic and he's equally the post threat Boozer was for the Jazz offensively and a much better defensive presence who can actually anchor the defense and control the paint.

    Deron Williams/Price

Brewer (return for cheap)? Roger Mason (not going back to spurs)? Wesley Matthews (Jazz can match Portland's offer)? Anthony Morrow (God I hope not..he's too good for the Jazz)

    Millsap/AK 47/Hayward

    Jefferson/Millsap

    Okur/Jefferson/Fesenko (if he resigns)

That's a pretty solid starting lineup with good 3 pt shooting, rebounding and most importantly size. Spacing shouldn't be an issue either with Okur being able to spread the floor. If the Jazz get a serviceable 2 guard (any of the guys mentioned above whom the Jazz are looking at) they are right back in the thick of things

This just shows the magnitude of adding a player like Al Jefferson's caliber to a team. He literally changes the whole complexion of the Jazz and puts them right back into contention. We have to make a stronger pull for Jefferson or hope to god he goes to the Cavs.

Sign and trade Scola + next years NY pick + David Andersen or Jordan Hill to sweeten the deal. We have the assets to make it happen. Just gotta come up with the right combo for Kahn to bite.

The Rockets don't have a $14 million trade exception. Apparently that's all the Wolves wanted; salary relief and draft picks.
