    Here's how I'd rank Scola/Jefferson/Lee:

    Offensively:

    (1) Lee
    (2) Jefferson
    (3) Scola

    Defensively:

    (1) Jefferson
    (2) Scola
    (3) Lee

In other words, Lee is just not that big of an upgrade from Scola. With Yao returning and with Kevin Martin now on the team, we don't need the scoring from our PF slot, we need the help defense. Personally, I think Lee would hurt us more than help us relative to Scola.

Jefferson is a good option, but he has injury concerns that Scola simply does not have (having never missed a game in his 3-year career). I think we're all sick of injury-prone players, aren't we? In addition, while Jefferson's offense and defense is probably better than Scola's, it's barely better and probably not worth the additional investment and/or players lost in a trade. He was poised to have a big year, but was a bit of a disappointment last season over in Minnesota -- he almost seems like he's declining already.

    Stick with Scola, I say.

Jefferson played 76 games last year. He played every game of the season until he tore his ACL the year before. The year before that he played all 82 games.

I don't know if you should put Al Jeff lower than Lee offensively. Al Jeff has gotten the best of the rockets almost single handedly beating us. He is an offensive beast, he has a lot of moves, more polished moves than just about any other big in the NBA. Him and Yao are probably the best back to the basket players that we have in this league. Al Jeff played really well against KG Duncan and Yao if you look at his games. If this guy can stay healthy he could challenge any other big man in the league as the top guy in the position. If we get him and Yao together, this could be the best big man combination that the league has seen in a very long time. However, I do not know how realistic it is to believe that we can get Al Jeff, can anyone explain to me if this is actually something we can do?

Hayes and Scola as backups to Al jeff and Yao sounds like a pretty damn good thing to have off the bench. It's pretty safe bench b/c you know these two will play their hearts out no matter how many minutes they play. Sounds like a high energy and effort bench to me, and that's really what I like off the bench with a lil' run n gun

Jefferson is nice, but i dont see how he and yao can coexist. They both need space to operate in the paint.

I definantly dont want david lee. I think Brad Miller will fill a need at a low price.
