So your solution is to not play him and him not be in game shape till the middle of the year so if he gets hurt there is no time to comeback? wow smh. This is the lamest response yet

I even have doubt that Kawhi Leonard could get 40M...

Offseason clutchfans brings out full stupid. be prepared. No one understands cap management. No one knows market value. No one understands procedure. Everyone forgets common sense. Hot take to every signing. People around here pissed we signed pj tucker last year. It was so stupid. Had a handful of people trying to tell everyone just wait and see, you will like him. Had one guy tell me he was a bad defender. Just absurdity all around.

DUH I never thought he would and never thought he should.

Why should he? we are over the cap regardless and all it would do is save tilman luxury tax money.

Why would we max out an aging injury prone player who is incapable of playing a full season?

You can't win rings if you're not on the court

why would we let him walk and go back to being the 1 star team that just lost game 6 and 7 to the warriors. it'll be the 2016-17 rockets again.

so many of yall are ignoring what cp3 provides to this team. I guarantee you harden and morey want him back.

Because he is by far our best chance to win a ring. PG13/Boogie don’t even come close. If you want championships, you hold onto CP3 however you can. If you want to be mediocre, you do otherwise.

Imagine the sick faces when DM pulls off a LeBron for Ryan Anderson deal.

In the scenario of Lebron coming here via opt in, I honestly think Paul will sign a 1 and 1. His drive to get a ring will surpass the money IMO. If we fail here with Lebron, I think he goes where Lebron goes.

If Chris Paul took a paycut, it wouldn't be for the rockets, it would be for Lebron James. There's no way he'd take a paycut to save the owner any money.

With all that money he should be able to buy a couple of new hamstrings

He should take a pay cut as a form of reparation for that hamstring.

Look. It is what it is. Morey has gone all in on Chris Paul and James Harden. If we can squeeze just one championship out of this squad while going up against one of the all time best teams in the Warriors. Then, I believe Morey would say mission accomplished. We almost pulled it off this year, so I think Morey will not hesitate to pay Paul the max.

Yes, in a few years time the Rockets will probably be going through a rebuilding process and Paul will be getting paid a ridiculous salary and doing nothing. But, I say don't fear the rebuilding. All teams have to go through that from time to time. Right now Morey sees signing a Paul to the max as our best chance to get a championship while Harden is still in his prime.

I’ll be spamming the board with Dunc’d On stuff, former lawyers that are now cap experts.

Bima is also invaluable as well

Why should CP take a paycut? If anyone should take a paycut it’s Harden. CP proved this year that HOU will only go as far as he takes them and before the Harden bus gets on me about my statement let me remind you’ll that it wasn’t Harden who helped HOU advace to the WCF 3 years ago, it was Brewer, Josh Smith, and Dwight Howard in game 6 against te LAC. Harden is a superstar but he’s also a player who can’t seem to move without the ball which gets very irritating sometimes. I love the ISO ball when CP is on the court with James but when he’s not it’s a hit and miss and annoying AF for the most part.
