He is totally worth the max. Our performance with James, Clint, and Chris speaks for itself. If we are running with more or less the same squad next year, I won't complain. Just have to hope luck goes our way.

CP3's first choice would play with Lebron at any costs. Then if Lebron chooses to play without friends and family then he will take the highest offer.

I would bring him back at all costs. His presence got us the closet we ever been to climbing the mountain. I think we can run the table again next season and get back to position of winning the finals. **** it bring tell the same squad back minus Luc. I just don’t trust the shoulder. Trade Nene though. He’s just not the same.

Good thing $50M in Houston is worth $200M in California. :p

Many teams would have given him the full max last year. But he still chose to come here.

So we kinda owe him. Hopefully he will be flexible.

CP3/Harden/Capela core is good enough to win a chip.

That being said how the **** did the Warriors get built with 4 max guys and Andre Iguodala.

I think I'd hate it more if they gave Capela 108/4 ($27M/yr) than if they gave Chris his max deal. (...even though Capela is younger/healthier)

There's no way LeBron is taking less than the max if Paul isn't. Rockets should sign George instead. Get bigger. Harden, George, an even more improved Capela, PJ Tucker and Eric Gordon back is a great lineup. That's too much money to pay CP at his stage.

It was really just a perfect storm of good luck. Spike in the salary cap to sign KD, benefiting from Curry's bad injury history on the second contract, Finding Draymond in the second round. Just more good luck for GSW..

If you don't think this was all decided LAST summer, before the trade, then you're pretty gullible. CP3 could have made more money if he'd opted out and become a FA, then signed with the Rockets. Instead he opted in to orchestrate a trade here, with complete agreement that we'd sign him to a max this summer. The only question is whether we've already agreed to 4 years or 5.

Tough. Because of his issues with injuries he's just not worth that much money and it could handicap the team moving forward. The team still needs more help with a CP3/Harden core and this postseason shows why. When Paul inevitably goes down, Harden can't be expected to carry the team like a transcendent player like a Lebron, Hakeem, etc. against other elite teams in the playoffs. I don't see how they can put a good enough roster together paying Paul the max.
