Maybe we can steal Hollins from the cavs... The trade benefits the cavs, but it's not a difference maker...should mean they're shopping mo williams
Kahn also gives up his 2nd round pick, which will probably be in the 30s. It's a good deal for the Cavs.
That's what I'm thinking. Could be a pure salary dump for Minny. Which makes this deal even worse. Kahn signs Sessions last year and then dumps him one year later. Doesn't seem like he's got a plan or a clue.
His schtick is all about overloading on 1 position, then trading away his best players for scrap. He's getting Telfair+West and signed Luke Ridnour. Obviously he's gonna trade us Rubio for a second round pick
LOL I thought this was already obvious when he drafted two pgs in the lottery. If it weren't how about when drafted like 5 forwards in the draft?
This. While I agree with m_cable's assessment that this deal just proves that Kahn doesn't quite have a successful plan working here, the trade itself at least benefits the T-Wolves. Minnesota saves $3.1M this year, $6.74M in 2011-12, and $4.55M in 2012-13. Meanwhile, at least they get a competent third PG in Telfair ($2.7M expiring contract) and only give up a second round pick. Look, I agree that David Kahn is not a very good GM. But the "Kahn hate" out there has gotten ridiculous. His moves this summer have hardly been as bad as most people make them out to be. Now, if he had any semblance of direction for the franchise, it would be all the better for him.
Well he doesnt cost nearly 7 million...he's taller, faster, jumps higher...has a decent jumper and he can finish or at least get to the free throw line. He's also a better shot blocker than jefferies and possibly better than anything we have besides Yao. I'd say he's better overall than jeffries, has more of what this team needs, and a whole lot cheaper.
Good move on cavs, sessions is a good player and they don't have a center since Z and Shaq are gone. Again. what is Kahn doing?
I simply ignore threads with words "Minnesota" and "Trade" in the title. Let me guess, Kahn added more gaurds?
