Hmm, I may be wrong but I seem to remember several years back he got busted for beating the crap out of his wife. Then there were the reported issues with his former coach.

PI is almost impossible to prove. They have to prove that you were so drunk that you are a danger to others or yourself, not just .08. It's what cops book you on if you mouth off to them and/or if they want you to spend the night in the tank, with the charges later dropped if you get any sort of a competent attorney.

The cool thing about a PI in Harris County is, if you didn't do anything else that was criminal, they chalk it up as a mis'd and let you off with time served.

The bad thing is that you will spend 41 hours in the anus of planet earth.

Wouldn't it be expensive to transport all the PI suspects over to Dallas?

If this is true, then this is really the coup de grace. While he was woefully inadequate on the court,he still has trade value for the right team.

And if he's gone and screwed us on that then that's just pathetic.

I don't want to hear what a character guy he is either if this proves true.Crying in his milk and not acting like a pro is the icing on the cake to go with a game that lacks substance.

I really hope this is BS.

    I got this from wikipedia:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rafer_alston

"Alston was arrested in 1998 for violation of parole. He had pled no contest in 1997 to assaulting his former girlfriend and was required to complete a one-year anger-management course as part of his probation. Alston failed to complete the course and an arrest warrant was issued. Alston was released and completed his sentence [4]."

    And this to:

    http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4196/is_19990113/ai_n10493853

"Bucks pick Alston arrested in Fresno
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, The, Jan 13, 1999 by MICHAEL HUNT, Journal Sentinel wire services

Second-round draft pick Rafer Alston, whose chances of making the Milwaukee Bucks' roster were iffy at best, may have reduced them to nil with his arrest in Fresno, Calif., Monday.

Alston, the former Fresno State point guard, was jailed after allegedly failing to complete an anger-management class that was court-ordered after he pleaded no contest in 1997 to misdemeanor battery for assault on a former girlfriend.

"Alston, who surrendered Monday and was still jailed Tuesday, had bail set at $3,000. No court date was set on the alleged probation violation. With 10 guaranteed contracts plus first-round draft pick Robert Traylor to sign, the Bucks will begin training camp Monday with just one open roster spot. If the Bucks sign free agent Sam Perkins and do not free up any more slots via trade, their opening-night roster will be set. Alston, whose chances of making the team had already been reduced with the shortened training camp, will place himself in further jeopardy of being cut if he is unable to show up Monday. "I am willing to do whatever it takes to put this behind me and rectify my mistakes through the proper channels," Alston said in a statement released by his agent. "I have let several people down, including myself, and I look forward to getting back on track and starting afresh. "I know I have a lot of work to do in proving that I belong in the NBA, and I look forward to taking the necessary steps to make this possible." The court ordered Alston to complete a yearlong anger-management course as part of his probation for the 1997 assault charge. He was also fined $200 and forced to serve a three-game suspension by Fresno State. Suspended again in 1998 after he failed to complete probation, Alston, then a junior, declared himself eligible for the NBA draft. An arrest warrant was issued in July after Alston failed to appear in court for a review hearing in the case. Fully aware of his personal baggage, the Bucks took the 6-foot-2 point guard in the second round as a possible insurance policy behind Terrell Brandon. Alston's checkered college career included three stops in three years: Ventura College, Fresno Community College and Fresno State. Last season he averaged 11.0 points and 7.3 assists per game. Bucks officials could not be reached for comment. Power swap? The Bucks and Hornets might be considering swapping power forwards in a deal that would send Tyrone Hill to Charlotte in exchange for Anthony Mason, according to a report in the New York Post. The deal might make sense for the Bucks, who need to increase their front-line scoring punch. Desirous of a low-post scorer who could command a double-team in the lane and relieve pressure from their perimeter game, the Bucks may see their power-shy lineup benefiting from a banger like Mason. At 6 feet 8 inches and 250 pounds, the 10th-year veteran has averaged 14.5 points a game his last three seasons with the Hornets and New York Knicks while bullying opponents on his way to the basket. Hill, playing in just 57 games for the Bucks last season because of a variety of medical and personal reasons, averaged 10.0 points and 10.7 rebounds a game. The Bucks drafted Traylor in the first round to provide punch inside, but the rookie probably won't be ready to immediately step into a prominent role for a team eager to make the playoffs this season. Charlotte general manager Bob Bass denied that a trade was in the works. Neither Bucks coach George Karl nor general manager Bob Weinhauer could be reached for comment Tuesday. No-shows: For the second day, none of the Bucks availed themselves of the team's training facility in St. Francis. The league is allowing players to get a head start on training camp this week with unsupervised workouts, but none of the Bucks have apparently arrived in town. Bucks officials aren't concerned, however. Their feeling is as long as the players report in shape and on time next week, they can work out wherever they want."
