BTW - who says this is Rox FO idea (and not an agents 'leak')? This sounds like an absolute non-story.

This is where I would insert a Fry Meme saying....

Not sure if Morey thinks he is a game changer or proactively tanking

Ok Jabroni, stop while you're still behind.

I'm sure you're a hell of an armchair GM

I don't see what's so bad about the rockets being in the mix to sign this guy. He can be a solid athletic back up next year if we somehow sign him and not overpay. And if we are in the mix to get him, I'm really sure we are going to trade Bud or Morris if not both. And if we will be in trade discussions with LA to get Pau Gasol, then I'm sure we would need to throw in Bud or Morris to sweeten the deal, since the Lakers could really use an athletic SF who can also knock down threes.

I honestly don't have a clue what this move would be for. Unless they don't expect Courtney Lee to be back? I mean, if the SF/SG spots stay the exact same as they are now and Gee is signed here... that would bury Marcus Morris into oblivion.

I don't see the problem. It doesn't say he's the number one target or priority. If the Rockets plan on making a big trade or two, they'll likely be trading for less players than they send out, so they need to have potential replacements lined up. Not a bad option as a role player, IMO.

i prefer running parsons at the two and gee at the three (he can guard the quicker wing players if he is faster than parsons). lee should come off the bench. he only brings a few things to the table on offense (threes, amd a transition game that is non existant when the other teams step up).

you guys bash morey for anything. teams should always look for chances to add more length via free agency.
