Wow, projected starting lineup for Denver?

    PG - Billups
    SG - JR Smith?
    SF - C. Anthony
    PF - Kmart
    C - Nene

    McDyess, Anthony Carter, Kleiza....

It's not bad, but not going to compete w/ us at all. Just makes them a better team.

Great for AI, he was stuck on a terrible team with a very annoying, self-centered, over confident, stupid name with a girl face having Carmelo Anthony.

Too bad for McDyess, we should go after him. I've always liked his game, he was great as a rookie for the Nuggets. Along with Mutombo, they were a 2-headed monster, blocking and dunking all over the place. To have Mutombo & McDyess on the Rockets would be a dream come true.

Guess you didn't watch any of the Rockets games that actually meant something the past four years.

Some crazy comments here, I'll post more when I have time, but just FYI it sounds like Dice is being bought out. I'm betting he'll sit out 30 days and go back to Detroit.

Whoa... I was going to try to play with Sachin's trade machine to find something to get Billups to the Rockets, but I didn't realize they were paying him $11 million over the next 4 years. Man, that's a LOT of money for a Chauncey Billups.

They've made it to the conference finals three years in a row, and their young guys are only getting better. They won 59 games last year. I think they had as good a chance as any team, outside of Boston, of getting to the Finals before this trade. It's hard to predict now.

You really have no clue. It's sad. I could show you a myriad of stats and box scores and facts to prove you wrong, but it won't matter. It never does with you.

Totally agreed. They haven't had a lethal unstoppable scorer to counter Wade, James, and the Celtics trio. This makes the East a lot more interesting.

Then Detroit will smell like a rose. AI could make them a better team this year and his expiring contract means the Pistons (instead of the Nuggets) will have a $21 million slot to fill this summer with a free agent or two. Dumars strikes again.

Good trade. Both teams did nothing to improve.

I think Denver gets the better end of this one. Billups is much more of a pg as opposed to Iverson who to me is more of a sg. Denver needed to change things up and I think they also get better defensively with Billups and McDyess. Only downside to this for Denver is Billups' contract.

Not sure how this helps Detroit other than Iverson's contract exiring in 2010. If Stuckey can handle the pg position as well as Billups did plus Iverson's offense then this definitely helps Detroit. Time will tell.

We seriously need to take a shot and woo McDyess if the Nuggets indeed buy him out. He'd be a great back up to Yao depending on how much he asks for.

I know he'll most likely go back to Detroit but Morey knows it will be a major coup if we can get him here, way better offensively then Deke and I love Deke.

Either Rockets fans need to put AntiSonic on ignore, or disregard his T-Mac hate posts (which are 95% of his posts.) That dude constantly derails threads. The truth is, he loves, no is in love with T-Mac. He can't get enough of him, can't stop talking about him, and can't stop watching him.

I guess Detroit wins in this trade if Iverson re-signs for less than $9.

    Billups, Carter*, Atkins
    Smith, Jones*, Weems(injured)
    Melo, Balkman(trade restriction)
    Kmart, Kleiza, Juwan(non-guaranteed)*
    Nene, McDyess, Andersen*, Samb**, Hunter(injured)

    * trade restriction

**cannot be packaged in a trade for a month or so? but can traded on his own.

If the Rockets wanted to pick up one of Denver's excess Cs the only deal really is Samb (guaranteed contract) for Wafer (non-guaranteed).

Denver would chip away again at their LT while Rockets put more pressure on themselves to dump Head.

Don't sleep on the Pistons. They could be very strong in the East.

All his fault. Nothing to do with opposition or talent on the team. I don't really like the guy that much either and he is no Kobe in terms of instinct and heart and drive, but your statements are pretty ridiculous. But then again, if you couldn't bash McGrady, you would probably only have like one post per month...

Damn, I accidently clicked submit post. Shouldn't preview post be before submit post?

I guess Detroit wins in this trade if Iverson re-signs for less than $9 million. Billups is a perfect fit for the Pistons. I guess they want more scoring and less defense. This has a chance of making improving both teams.
