Not bad considering Boozer got 16 mill a year for almost the same type of production. Lee in NellieBall offense should be the same in terms of efficiency and production when he played under D'Antoni.

David Lee is a Scola copy cat. Boozer is overpaid but he's also proven on playoff teams. Lee is a stat filler on a lotto D'Antonie team.

It's not $13M in the first year though. Boozer is getting $16M/yr but it starts at around $13.5M.

I heard it's 80 mill 5 years. Same as Boozer.

    EDIT: It's 6 years (S&T) for $80 mil.

Amare and Anthony Randolph may be similar in physical attributes but what they bring to the table NOW is drastically different.

That's not to say that Randolph may develop into more of an offensive threat, but right now, his 2 biggest strengths are rebounding and weak-side shot blocking, which is what a team with Amare needs.

He's far from useless on offense, but I think he would make a great defensive add on to New York as well.

Ergo, he will be a stat filler on a lotto Nelson team. I'm not high on Lee but he does produce solid numbers. Sure it may be on a crap team but it's not like he's getting paid AND NOT putting up solid numbers.

If anything, I think the Warriors wanted to get this deal done is because they REALLY don't want Randolph despite what they've told the media the past year.

UUUUgggh!!!! As a warriors fan, this trade sucks! David Lee's number are inflated, his defense is awful and he is NOT worth 13mil per season.
Despite limited and sporadic playing time... Anthony Randolph had shown tons of potential, was already a much better defensive player than Lee could hope to be and was only being paid 2mil per. Randolph's main problem was in dealing with Don Nelson and his propensity not to play rookies and pf without a 3 point shot. The better question might be who hasnt had a problem the last few years... Monte, Jackson, Harrington, Crawford, Baron, the list goes on and on. David Lee might be perfect for Don Nelson, but guess what, Nelson and his system wont be here after next season and maybe sooner.

To make this trade worst, the warriors traded away two solid players on great contracts, in Kelena Azuibuke and Ronny Turiaf, instead of dumping charlie bell or radmonovich or gadzuric.
