While its true GM Carroll Dawson was the man who does the ink, but the coach's advice was also taken into account. Rudy T was not off the hook for this kind of mess. I thought letting Kenny Thomas go was a huge mistake. It turns out that the "successors", ie, Eddie Griffin/Mo Taylor are no where near the contribution to the team as KT once had. At least KT can shoot, defend (at least a steal per game), and pass. He's doing just as great in Philly. I have also said about letting Posey go to Memphis was another huge mistake made by the Rockets' management. So Posey the other day came back to Houston & kicked butts. Rockets' way of doing things is just a complete mess. Rudy T deserved to be fired, so should CD.

I thought you were into nothing but positive threads???

BTW, at the time of the trade, KT had the lowest FGA/assist ratio on the team for a non-guard. You might want to re-think your ridiculous black hole comment.

The clippers were pretty smart this offseason.

They let their players all sign offer sheets, and then matched the ones they wanted to keep.

The Rockets made too many errors in long term deals...Maloney, Cato, Mo.....

At least with EG they are drawing the line...good for them.

By the way....Cato is actually getting close to earning his money...who would have thought?

I counter your 3 bad decisions with 3 great decisions:

Signing Mobley to a long-term contract (sombody help me with the details) which is cheap for a player of his standard

    Taking Francis from the Grizzlies

Drafting Ming first up, and not bowing to the sentiment that he was going to be a bust

Come on guys - nobody makes the right decision every single time!

I have a trade idea, say, how about the Rockets pack Mo Taylor & Eddie Griffin to Portland for Zach Randolph? Portland jailBlazers are good at dealing players like that.

Hindsight is 20/20 ain't it? When Taylor was with the Clips here in LA he was the first option on O and looked like the best player on the team. It was not a mistake to pursue him based on what was known about him at the time. Eddie on the other hand...
