Jeeze, 10 years from now, are some of you going to break down the team move by move until you have a chart that leads every bad move to Rudy T?
People keep forgetting that the Rockets were a team on the rise. If Rudy had his old squad and Yao Ming, who knows how good we would be. Look at Rudy's team now, scrubs like Jumaine Jones, Tierre Brown, Chris Mihm, and Brian Cook are stepping up. Each in different games and situations. No one is overpaid on the Lakers, except for Brian Grant. THey are overachieving, while we are underachieving. Sure Rudy has bad some bad draft picks, but he's got some steals also like Cuttino in the 2nd rnd.
tinman makes a good point.. The Lakers are overachieving right now in LA... Kobe is Kobe Caron is doing well but Odom seems to be struggling against the size of the West but still manages 10 rebs a game. The role players know their roles and seem to be executing. JVG does not motivate his players and his players dont put everything on the line for him. RudyT does motivate his players and even though they may not always play smart they play with hustle and intensity for him. J
I bet when we play the Lakers again, Lamar Odom will outrebound Juwan and Mo. Lamar Odom is really a small forward.
I miss Rudy.. If Rudy didnt get sick and we kept our core intact I wonder how we would have looked.. (scenario) SFrancis / Moochie (haha) Cat / TMo Posey / Boki EGriffin / MoT Yao / Cato who knows we still might have been able to pick up Sura / JJackson and others.. J what if's? ouch they hurt dont they?

I fail to buy that. That to me is just hogwash. Revisionism at its worst. The fact remains that Rudy made, engineered or agreed to so many bone headed moves. What I am not sure of now is how it compares with other teams. Every team has a few bone headed moves of their own that in a revisionist's mind might look atrocious but when put into perspective with other teams might not look as bad. Lets move. The house cleaning has commenced and I must confess that I am not too impressed with some of the house cleaning moves JVG has done especially signing Charlie Ward and going into the regular season with Motay and Juwan as your main 4s - but again it takes time to undo Rudy-CD's mistakes. Jack-knifed.
The only thing still to undo from Rudy's tenure is the last small shred of credibility this franchise has left.
