    That escalated quickly.gif

Or rather, slowly? Given that this was 20 years ago.

I know Les should have let Rudy stay on as a consultant to the Rockets which he was fine with since his health was bad

Jerry Buss let him do that for Phil Jackson and also gave his son a job with the team . Yes Phil got all the glory and Rudy T didn’t care he just wanted to work and do what he loves

look even the tmz guy three years ago says he wants him in the hall of fame while asking him about being a scout for the Lakers

A lot of people don’t know about the history of his tenure as owner

the presumption that he was great because the current owner is cheap and arrogant is wrong

why did Rudy t go to the lakers ?
Why did Hakeem got to Toronto his last year?
Why did Calvin Murphy lose his job on tv ?
Why does Barkley keep mentioning his missing salary?
Why are the rockets championship trophies in Florida ?
Why are the city jerseys in Chinese for like three years ?
Why did Les sell the team when he had no health issues or financial problems ?
Why did this bbs create a save our rockets site in fear that the team would move to Kentucky ?

    and many many more

Not really, I’ve only been able to use dying of corona since a few months ;) I’ve actually started threads before about Leslie being an ******* and many came to his defence, about tax paying, the trophies, the jerseys, not giving Patterson and the previous owner credit etc. But to actually not keep on a man who is family, part of this for 32 years and who wanted to stay?! That’s very low, the evil laugh truly suits that leprechaun smug little ****. If he dies, watch the trophies being donated to his kin.

The only person he would never let go is Yao
That’s his number one priority for obvious reasons

What was the first thing Les talks about in the 2016 17 season? Harden? Nah not even close
    key words :
    Chinese New Year
    Maximum audience

He was a money w**** from the start. He didn’t want to pay Vernon, which is where the frustration started. People think it was Drexler taking his place / playing time, no, he felt disrespected already.

It's not just Les, this org is all about burning bridges.

In just the recent years, we've burned bridges with coaches/players that's led to them talking **** about our team to the media.

But that said, many teams in the leagues do this (like the Celtics).

Say what you want about Jerry Buss but he wasn't that type of owner, even after Shaq/Kobe beef happened, Shaq still has great respect him.

What's crazy is the dumb fans here on Clutchfans have no brains and don't know how to think

Why does Charles Barkley have a grudge against the Rockets for all those years?

-Barkley mentioned he owned 3 million for the last season with the Rockets because it's a back end deal for taking the minimum salary to
GO UNDER THE SALARY CAP to SIGN SCOTTIE PIPPEN FOR THE MAX.

Why doesn't Les Alexander care that the Rockets get such Negative Press on TNT for like 10 years?
-TNT is NOT THE AUDIENCE LES IS TARGETING. NOTICE ALL CHINESE ADS AT THE TIME.

Where is the evidence of Barkley's ?

How do you go from 1 million dollars (AN ALL STAR PLAYER) then 9 million in year 2??
Only idiots can't figure this one out.

Dumb idiots here can't separate being a fan from knowing the truth.
You know when the Rockets missed 27 three pointers in the row. Blind dumb idiots claim luck.
But Real Rockets fans know it's Mike D'Antoni too stubborn to change up the pace and plays when you have a lead in the playoffs.
He's never made it to the Finals for a reason. It's not like he didn't have good teams.

But Mike D'Antoni donated to help Houston. Yes he's a great dude, but that's has nothing to do with coaching.

Barkley's claim got dismissed by the majority of Clutchfans cause their blind homerism stops them from RESEARCHING THE TRUTH.

Clutchfans criticize NBA Fans for saying Jordan didn't play in the Rockets championship years for not research that he did play in 1995
Should take their own advice and research what really happened

Nobody says "MY EMPLOYER OWES ME MONEY, for 10 years in a row" unless he's still pissed about it and it's real.

It's not really the amount of money, it's the damn disrespect. Barkley has WAY MORE than 3 million dollars in the bank.
But it's the principal of the matter.

hell these idiots selling ice cream would be mad if Marble Slab didn't pay them suddenly.

He didn't come back because he loved Les.
He came back cause of the strong bond with his teammates and the good times in Houston.

Don't forget Mario Elie didn't leave on a good note either.

One of Jerry Buss' employees nearly ended Rudy's life. Keeping Rudy on the payroll was the least he could do.

I am not fan of Les, but I definitely don't like Tilman for being a cheapskate.

Les was a jerk to many people. But Tilman is penny-wise pound foolish. And when it comes to winning, the later can be devastating to that concept.

As much as a i love JVG the person, and the defensive assistant, i'd go back without hesitation to see Rudy T coach Yao and Stevie through their prime, but then T-Mac would have never happened. Steve remains happy and wanted in Houston which is what he always wanted and stayed motivated and central focus of the offense. But, not sure Yao and Francis would have been anything more than a first round exit every year. Unfortunately that team needed Eddie Griffin to develop into an all star athletic 4, otherwise Rj at the 3 would have been very good and who knows what the team starts to look like without JVG coming in and bringing in all his ancient former Knicks players. All is moot since Rudy's health wouldn't let him coach anyway, but would have been great to put him in a position of power within the front office to follow his vision based around Yao and Franchise. If that were the case, Rudy wouldn't ever pick JVG to replace him and implement any plan he had.

Your decline is very sad to see. There is absolutely no call for bringing up Wuhan in this thread. Clean it up, old timer.

Sounds like Alexander took Tinman for one of these rides back in the day and he’s still bitter.

Someone ask Maxwell on Twitter what he thinks of Leslie Alexander. I'll decide how I feel about LA based on that.

Isn't this why you are posting this? Because people are attacking Tilman and you want to defend him by switching focus to Les? I mean who gives a F about Les anyway, he's gone.

    Lol
You can make up whatever theory you want on why I post

Nobody here knows anything about the Les era
Except he was the owner when we had Yao

Who here is old enough to remember why Rudy T left and then stayed with the Lakers for so long ?

if you don’t care or don’t have any real facts to add go back to the D and D and troll

I know more about the Les era than some idiots who joined cause of Yao or Tmac
