Afraid to take a stand on what? I mean I know it took you weeks and several OS re-installs to figure out your keyboard was broken (lol, that thread was classic), but this is a subjective poll. How do you plan on proving it? I usually deal in absolutes that I can definitively argue. I'm not some twit jumping into every thread looking like an idiot, flip-flopping between positions multiple times during the year, getting humiliated, and coming back for more, etc.

I think JVG is the better coach. Now what?

But we do know JVG cannot develop young players. He will trade away any player whom he cannot use NOW, and I don't blame him for it, with "what have you done for me NOW" attitude from fans and the owners.

Got it. And since yesterday's loss eliminated us from the playoffs, now would be a GREAT time to clean house.

I don't even know how to respond to this. Clearly you have some amazing insight into what the team is thinking that no other human being has because I didn't realize that yesterday's loss translated into the team officially tuning JVG out. But I guess it does.

Voted JVG. No one defends their players like Van Gundy.

No one really care, the fact is JVG is our coach now (no matter how much we hate or love him, he gonna stay for the rest of the season). I don't know what will happen in the playoff, but we should stop picking on the guy until after the playoff end.

Until JVG wins something in the playoffs, he's getting the pre-Vince Young, Mack Brown treatment.

I support JVG, like I supported Outkast when they had ATLiens. sometimes you know success will come.

Let's see, JVG is in his third year.

Year 1- Rockets make the playoffs and take a much deeper Mavs team to 7 games in Round 1.

Year 2- Both star players are out for large chunks of the season. Do not make the playoffs.

Year 3- One star player is out for a large chunk of the season, the other misses significant # of games. In spite of this the Rockets have made the playoffs and are only 1 1/2 games behind the # 4 team in the West.

I would say JVG has done a damn good job. In fact, it's the defensive discipline that he has instilled in this team that has enabled it to succeed even when the offense has sputtered due, to injuries or just god awful shooting by key players (neither or which the coach can control).

Yesterday's game was a perfect example of this. Even with Rafer, T-mac, and Howard building a brick sh_thouse, our defense allowed us to control that game. If any of one of these players hit anything close to a reasonable # of their shots last night, we wouldn't be having this conversation today.

Yep that is after the playoffs if the team fails in the first round again.

It was sarcasm......if he has been saying the same thing for 3 years and they still haven't gotten it.......ah...never mind.

    LOL - very funny.

Still afraid to take a stand I see, much easier to laugh it up rather than participate in the thread.

Take that weak stuff out of the lane Dunce.

Oh come on. this just show how stubbern Jeff is. He need players to adjust to his system and don't know how to combine the skills of players have to win the game.
If Jeff can develop Yao's low post game and at same time still keep his miller skill then he is a great coach otherwise he is stubbern. If yao lost his miller skills and don't develop low post game then what? trade him to other team? Like Nochba, next maybe vspan.

I don't know. I change it when ever he comes on. I can barely hear what he says during the pre/post game stuff.

    Duh....really.....

It was a classless move on his part...come into a thread, and rather than participate in the topic, to attack the topic starter.

Dr. of Dunce and I have a long history.......ever since he booted me for asking a question in chat....

If the topic-starter is not reputable, the topic starts off on the wrong foot. What time is it now? Hmm.. almost 4pm.... Rudy.
