sure he will. and as he does, you exploit that part of his game more and more. at that point, you can run more 1 on 1 clear outs for him.

in the meantime, you exploit his biggest attribute - his passing. we all know that he's capable of scoring, but he is at his most effective when he has the ball and has his teammates moving & cutting.

it's already written in the nba defensive manual that you need to double team yao ming. so why are yao's teammates wearing cement nikes?

Yeah, no one thought Phil Jackson excelled either. Real interesting. Clearly Phil underachieved and should be fired.

well i guess everybody but the clippers and celtics forgot to read the manual during the last third of the season or so. yao was single-covered a lot in the last third of the season and yet he was becoming more ineffective as the season wore on. stamina, being completely worn out, whatever, he wasn't nearly as effective as earlier and he wasn't even being doubled. then the one thing he could do nicely, pass, was pretty much eliminated b/c no one was open since no one was doubling yao. sure he had some nights where he got it going and needed doubling, but for the majority of the time people could single cover him and get him to take that fadeaway, since he can't back anyone down, and he wasn't that great.

you're right. but i do not expect yao to be that fatigued next season. it should be the "norm" not the "exception" that he is fresh and feeling it. like you said...that's when they double him.

and when you say there was no one to pass to since there was no double team on yao...you are shining a big old bright spotlight on the lack of creative genius that is rudy t's offense.

i realized that. i have no idea why we don't have more movement. but you told yao's teammates to not have cement in their nike's and i was simply pointing out that most of our passing comes as a result of double teams and since that didn't happen and our offense doesn't call for it you can't blame yao's teammates when they themselves are covered.

Yes...if they show nothing new, not even attempts...then yes...he has worn it out.
he said it, true...but it didnt seem to work out...why?

    I dont know..
goes back to whether or not the players will buy into his system..if he gets rid of the ones that won't change, and still does nothing..he should be toast.
