Well that seals it. Rudy is clearly not guilty because of that typo.

This adverb is typically only used informally within the United States. Outside of the U.S., it is typically written as “get hold of” or “get a hold of.” Since “ahold” is generally used informally, it should be avoided in formal writing, for example, academic essays or professional articles.

“Only used with in the United States” makes sense why you didn’t think it is a word. There must no translation in Russia.

He should be disbarred in every state he holds a license and never be allowed to practice law again.

Ive said this before but its been shocking to see how many lawyers gave bad and illegal advice along with knowingly making false statements in service of Trump.

Rudy Giuliani allegedly sent a text begging Michigan to overturn 2020 election. But he got the wrong number

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...1&cvid=344197d7d010457594331c5ef50613b4&ei=70

The message Giuliani was allegedly attempting to send read: “So I need you to pass a joint resolution from the Michigan legislature that states that, *the election is in dispute,* there’s an ongoing investigation by the Legislature, and * the Electors sent by Governor Whitmer are not the official Electors of the State of Michigan and do not fall within the Safe Harbor deadline of Dec 8 under Michigan Law.”

The gaffe-prone Trump loyalist has a long line of technological fails. In 2017, one month after he was named as Trump’s cybersecurity adviser, he locked himself out of his iPhone after forgetting the passcode and entering the wrong one at least 10 times, NBC News reported at the time.

He has “butt-dialed” reporters on several occasions. In 2019, he accidentally left two voicemails on an NBC reporter’s phone where he spoke about needing money and unleashed a verbal attack on Joe Biden, the then-Democratic presidential candidate.

They won, and then some. Basically everything of value that Rudy accumulated in a long and successful career now is no longer his, because he hitched his wagon to The Donald. It seems to happen a bunch to people who fly too close to that black (orange) hole.

They also "won" the 2 million that Trump owes Giuliani. I'm sure they will totally collect.

[CNN] Rudy Giuliani must give control of luxury items and Manhattan apartment to Georgia election workers he defamed, judge rules

I'm pretty close to a free speech absolutist. I don't think Musk is as he sues his critics to try to chill free speech. I also believe in the right to spread lies and dumbass conspiracy theories that get us closer to realizing the world in Idiocracy. That stated, there are still things you should be fined or punished for as they are exceptions, like true threats, incitement, fraud, commercial lies, and defamation. These workers were not public figures and didn't sign up for extra scrutiny. They weren't criminals and got the wrath of Trump and Co. The politicians do have an extra layer of protection imo (I'm not fully in support of the E. Jean Carroll lawsuit standard), but Rudy wasn't president or anything like that and defamed the hell out of those people. So, this is a good outcome.

That makes no sense. Comity has been part of America since Reconstruction and state protectionism of its own citizens has died away completely. If your actions have legal standing in other states due to the harm caused, then no "home state" wants to waste any resources passing unconstitutional laws trying to prevent citizens from lawfully being sued for defamation. And states pass tons of bad laws. This is an off-the-wall hot take with no legal basis and will get no traction in even the most conservative state legislatures.

Yeah I really don’t understand what is being argued in the tweet. Giuliani made the statements against them in GA and the case was brought in GA.. is the argument that Giuliano’s a resident of NY should be shielded from losing a lawsuit in GA?

Blue regions targeting their political opposition with defamation lawfare as a way to silence/punish critics and chill free speech.

Similarly with Dominion, anyone who dares criticize their black box algorithm or processes will get sued into oblivion and financially ruined (unless you are a Democrat like John Kerry questioning Diebold in 2004, that's allowed).
