    Actually it's probably more like:

"With Rudy in place, we have a guarantee of landing Yao in 2 years" ;)

Christ, let's not even start up with the Yao stuff.

Anyways, I kinda think Rudy WAS the Lakers' first choice, he just wasn't Kobe's first choice. The Lakers are doing whatever necessary to ensure that guy sticks around. Rudy's name got tossed around a LOT earlier than Kryszewekiseskywicz's.

No, it's "Rudy's press conference on Thursday, and Yao's on Saturday".

Yup, more rumors from laker's forum saying JVG will also be included that Yao+T-Mac for Shaq deal. He will be Rudy's assistant, second only to Larry Smith.

More rumors are saying (I am not sure it's true) Les Alexanders was offered the assistant trainer job for the Lakers, and he's in serious discussion with Mitch Kupchek on this job offer.

Actually Rudy in a Sign and Trade by the Lakers, to Houston for Gundy, would be keeeeeeler. ;)

    this make perfect sense.

but, what if they offer the other guy 8 mil per for 5 years, and to rudy 6 mil per for 5 years? does that show desrepect?

My heart goes out to Rudy. I wish him success, but if he pulls that mess together in LA...ugh.

Kobe, is Kupchak's priority and I really don't know what's going to happen there. God I hate the Lakers. If Rudy goes out there and manages to pound some sense in Kobe and placates Shaq...

Ok I'll cope. But Karl and GP have to die before Rudy gets there. :D

Actually, that was Charlie Thomas or Ray Patterson, not Les. Les is the one who fired him.

Damn it. It's going to suck facing him. Hope Yao and the rest of the team goes to LA with a vengeance (sorry to Rudy T in advance).

610 radio paraphrased Shaq as saying "I feel bad for Rudy. I want to play for the man but I'm not going back there." This would be really bad news for Rudy since his past success was based on the power of the Big Men (ala Hakeem and Barkley). Should Shaq stay and Rudy employs his old ways, Kobe will walk for sure. Either way, Rudy is in a tough position.

Just the opposite. Why would YM play for a coach who let SF and CM cheat him out of ROY.

Countdown to Shaq saying he's staying in L.A. after Rudy convinced him to... and Kobe goes to the Knicks.
