I actually haven't watched a Philly game this year.

So, I'll rephrase: "Tony Allen is by the far the best perimeter defender I've seen this year." ;)

Durant himself isn't even on Durant's level. Durant still has lots of potential that e hasn't even tapped into. Could you imagine what damage durant can do if they traded away that ball hog in RW...for even just a "solid" true pg. Even if RW was traded for a bag of Cheetos he would be scoring 40 a night for a mediocre team.

Isn't it better than he's scoring 30 a night on a really good team instead of 40 a night on a mediocre team?

Well, he's probably better than what he's given credit for. I remember when the Celtics used to play him at PG back before the Allen/KG trades and they just asked too much from him. Some guys are just better when they have a defined role. The Celts were really lucky that after all those trades they got to keep all of their blue collar guys.

no, because we hate scoring point guards that much !

...even if they make their team better overall.

Some people just don't know basketball, and shouldn't talk about basketball.

Wouldn't have a problem with it if we would get other teammates involved in the action. Although I'm not sure whose fault that is? Coaching or his?

Yes because basketball is a sacred sport and only those who have studied the game and have taken Basketball 101 should be granted the privileges to talk about the sport.

Congratulations to Rudy Gay on passing up Shane Battier and becoming the Grizzlies' all-time franchise leader in steals in a dominant performance on the road in Atlanta to lead his team to victory over the Hawks:

Congrats Rudy! A truly historic day. Not just for the Grizzlies, but for the NBA as well.

So, to bring us back on topic, is Gay >= Durant yet?

Durant murdered Rudy Gay tonight. Especially in last 3 mins, he made multiple clutch shots. He must be reading this thread.

Gay is on the same level as Durant in terms of shot attempts.

Some people - don't know how to read?

Remember, this game came after people went on for two pages about what a sick closer rudy was in end-of-game situations.

And ironically, this post comes about 12 hours after Kevin Durant illustrates what that actually means.

Rudy Gay cured my mother's breast cancer. It took him 20 shots, but by God he did it.
