#1 you are not arguing the way "we" argue, we used statistics and logic, and you responded with "scoreboard" when you had nothing to support your argument.. You completely overlooked all the variables that go into the Grizz having a half game lead 20% through the season.
#2 after you looked foolish you decided to make this a thread about about the Grizzlies and not Rudy Gay. Start another thread if you want to do that
#3 hate to break it to you, but the Grizz are irrelevant to Rocket fans, 75% of the West is more important.
#4 if you want to sign players like Rudy Gay to long term over priced contracts feel free.
#5 the Rockets didn't trade Battier for Thabeet (great wasted draft pick by the way, but I am sure you don't miss Kevin Love), the Rockets dealt Battier for the #1 pick that netted Houston Donatas.
#6 I don't think anyone said the Grizz didn't play hard, just that Gay is not Durant and really not even an all star. I am just glad the Rockets are not paying that chucker max money.

LOL @ Grizzlies fans thinking people give two shet about them

Yeah they have a pretty good front court, but honestly no one really cares how they do unless they are like top 2 seeds

First you say Rudy sucks based on advanced stats and then you use box score stats to try and denigrate his performance, but you spoke too soon. I can also tell you and other posters like Nook never watch the actual games, because this was another very good and complete game by Rudy Gay spearheading the team effort to comeback from 17 points down to win against the Warriors on the road.

He assisted on Conley's layup with a little over a minute left in the 4th qtr to put the Griz up by one and then got the rebound after the Warriors missed on the next possession and nailed a clutch jumper with 20 secs left to put Memphis up by three and then got the rebound again after Golden State tried to tie it up.

23 pts on 48% shooting, 9 rebs, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks, and clutch play, which can't be measured.

The tough times for the Rudy Gay haters continue.

Not a Rudy hate, but I still think the thread title is hilarious.

Disgusting. Rudy Gay fans are starting to become as annoying as LeBron fans. Didn't think that was possible.

Well. I hate the Grizz now. Didn't think that would happen.
    Thank you annoying fans.

Who led his team to victory tonight after being down 17 pts on the road?

Who has been leading his team to victory after victory during their current 7 game win streak?

Who's that making all the high impact and clutch plays down the stretch?

Who's the guy that has a history of making high impact and clutch plays down the stretch?

Who's the guy the Cavs offered the #4 pick in the 2011 NBA draft for?

You need to learn to watch some basketball before you start typing and making yourself look foolish.

Gay has bad games just like everybody else, but for posters here to paint him as some sort of mediocre or average to slight above average player is ridiculous. I understand that it's primarily a defense mechanism in order to justify the move to trade him to the Griz for a role player, but you got to take off the homer glasses sometimes and be objective.

Highlights of the game tonight below:

Props to Rudy Gay for leading his team to victory. More games like these and he'll finally start earning his 15M paycheck.

I think Gay is better than an average player, but he's still not worth the max.

One thing I'll agree with you though is we got robbed on that trade. 5M cap relief and Battier wasn't enough to get Gay, Grizzlies should have added a future first or something. No wonder they had cameos of Jerry West making toasts after the trade LOL

He is basically on Durant's level....eeeerrrrrrrr

Well at least they are paid the same. Isn't that what you meant when you started this thread?

I would have kept Gay, but, if you're going to trade him, the Griz should have at least given their 1st rd pick that year to the Rockets, which happened to be Kyle Lowry. If anything, it would have meant suffering less through the years of watching Rafer Alston throw up brick after brick.

I'll say this before and I'll say it again, I don't think Gay is on Durant's level. Not many in the NBA are, but this is the most recent Rudy Gay thread and there's no point in creating a new one just to post in it. With that said, I'll reiterate that he's definitely a top 4 sf in the NBA right behind LBJ, KD, and Melo.

Whoa there partner! Don't go too far out on a limb there!

And you said definitely like he is head and shoulders above Granger, Iggy, Wallace, Dang, Gallinari, or even old man Paul Pierce.
