With the way NBA players can pass the ball with accuracy, I don't see why they don't just do a chest pass to the rim.
Agreed. In fact, the other video of 2 years ago shows how he did it when he was trying to miss. He shot a line drive and accidentally made. This one however looks like a regular shooting form intended to make. It is possible that he just forgot to miss until too late, and thus the reaction after the make. So at best, he made a boneheaded play. (Together with the failure to run out the clock by avoiding the foul, it was a double-boneheadedness.) At worst, he tried to pad his stat at his team's expense.
Well either way he made his team lose. I can brick my freethrows 10/10 times, I dont see how a professional doesnt manage to do it.
