well the interesting thing is that both players were compared to pippen coming into the nba, honestly I think they could be nuts together...combine that with yao? well -- all I'll say is, if I had my choices in the draft right now...I'd either take morrison or gay.

to put it into perspective: I think getting roy would be a home run. I think morrison or gay is a grand slam.

Would that make Yao Bill Cartwright or Luke Longley?

Gay does not really have that kind of a skill set. Think of a finisher and shooter, not necessarily a great ballhandler or wing defender. I still like him, though, and would love the choice.

Gay and Mac on the floor at the same time would be scary.

Agreed. In a lot of ways Gay reminds me of Horry with more upside. Of course we can't assume that Gay can be as clutch as Horry, but the game, body type and skills are pretty close imo, with Gay probably being more athletic.

I think if we draft Gay, he's going to try to be like Mac.

So if we grab Rudy Gay, does he start right away at SF, moving TMac over to SG?

If y'all are saying Gay can be a PF in this league because how the league is changing and SF/PF players are becoming more successful, then why can't Tyrus Thomas be successful too?

I think people think Tyrus cant be that type of player because he didn't show that perimeter game in college. While even though Gay wasn't outstanding in defending the post and perimeter he showed that he could do it
