It's not so true. CD said The Rocket had a 5-player-protected list for the trade include Roy, Foye and other three but no Rudy-G. They don't want the Italian kid too. if rocket can get these 5, the deal will be off. I think if Rockets got Roy and signed another ML player, the results might be similar to now. Roy+Swift = S.B. The team may be more offense oriented. Swift may develop to a good role player. he is no trouble maker. V.Gundy said swift made progress in the last 20 games of last seaon.

Gay is doing a little better now, but I don't know why people think that meeans he's going to be a star. There are many many steps in between going from rookie to good, and then even more from good to star. If Gay does ok, he'll be J. R. Smith. If he does well, he'll be Corey Maggette. If he does very well, he'll be Rashard Lewis. If he does amazing, he'll be Michael Redd. All of these players are far far below the true superstar level. Gay has a long long way to go.
Now we have full understanding what Shane can do and what Rudy can do. I don't think there is question that both are quality players. The question is about, at this stage, Rockets needs this Shane or this Rudy. I guess the question is pretty clear to most Rockets fans. Of course Rudy has good potential, and is doing well now. Remember, we got Shane for him. If he's garbage, most likely our Shane would be garbage too. Does any serious business people seriously expect to rip off trading partners all the time?
listen up, we're not doubting shane's ability and the fact that he brings us more in this near3 yr than gay. however, the fact of the matter is dawson simply got too little in return for such a talent in gay. end of discussion. we got screwed in the trade.
Nobody cares about Rudy Gay. He will probably never wear a Rockets uniform, so why is this in the Rockets forum?

I'm glad we have Shane, but Rudy Gay has been playing extremely well lately. The kid is how old? 22? It's still too early to tell, but with how he's been playing he could be a superstar one day. Time will tell.
