No way any sane person would trade Jordan Hill for him...

Used to be interested in him. Liked that small contract. But Roy went out and instead of stepping up and making things happen Fernandez just didn't make a statement. I don't want a crybaby. The Rockets are a team of professionals (now that McGrady is gone), don't want to deal with a whiner again. I want real men on this Rockets team. His role here would be no different than the one he has in Portland. So he'd whine. He can go play in the WNBA with V-Span.

He'd be a nice upgrade to Taylor as some sort of combo guard, but I wouldnt send anything of value for him.

I'd take him if he was content with a 6th man role. He stated he will only stay in the NBA if he gets a starting gig.

    Let's see.....

    Martin or Fernandez???

    Ok, no fernandez..!

J-Rich has hurt the Blazers in this playoff series. Blazers could be all hot and bothered about acquiring Battier again. A trade for Rudy could open up an opportunity to get Freeland as part of the package.

I said the same thing on a Rudy thread months back. I think he can be a rich man's Brent Barry. Not the next Drazen Petrovic like they're proclaiming. Do we need that now? Especially with Kevin Martin on the team

Chase is our Brent Barry. Both have high IQ, ball handling skills, shooting ability and athleticism (Barry won the dunk contest against Finley many years ago).
Oh and they're both white lol.

    Cot damn. Not this again.

Rudy is overrated. I know this thread was made after you saw him make some threes.

We have a guy named Chase Budinger who plays the same position and has a greater skill set.

If you want to trade with the Blazers, you ask for Travis Outlaw.

Battier's in serious decline. In the past two seasons he started the season out injured or carrting an injury and always playing poorly.

It's time to cash in while his rep is still good.

I think we need a 3 that can play some D! That 1 & 2 spot lack a lot on defense! Ariza gambles to much and I dont think Rudys the answer! Plus hes more of a 2!

Outlaw was traded to Clips and now FA. Right now Rudy's stock is low.

My fault with the Outlaw deal. I thought he was injured and out for the season; not traded.

Still, Rudy is not worth any of our pieces, except Jared Jefferies.

Rudy took one of the dumbest shots of the playoffs earlier. I still don't know why people are so high on him. He may need to go somewhere and get playing time, but the rokets just have better players at that position right now.

    yea...uh...no

First off cash in? On Rudy "33% in the playoffs" Fernandez? I''ll pass on that.

Second, his contract will be needed if theres a major SnT this offseason.

Third, this myth of Battier declining has been running rampant for whatever reason but he is still far and away our best defensive player. Not to mention similar players and styles are effective way into thier 30s. (Hill, Bowen, Posey)

Fourth, the last two teams that cut thier glue guys got signifigantly worse (SA, Bos)

Fifth, even if he was to come here, he would be 4 string behind Martin, Brooks and Lowry. He is already complaining about not starting....

Sixth, 1 million - 7 million, trade doesnt even work. Like I said, you want him for a TPE, then fine, but I wouldnt give any value for him at all.

So, you wouldn't trade the towel boy for Rudy Fernandez? Okay.
