No. I'd just be dead weight and we'd have to include 5 first rounders instead of just three first rounders we'd have to send with Pablo. B ;)

If he could only shoot at an average clip... Dude is shoot 33.5% from the field, and 26.8% from the 3PT land this season.

At this point, it wouldn't hurt him to completely re-invent his shot technique. He can't possibly shoot much worse right?

He should dedicate the offseason for that sole purpose and try to emulate Curry's quick release technique:

He's a fantastic passer, great rebounder and good defender with size, but he really is a absolute zero when it comes to scoring, its a shame. All of the great things he brings to the game gets offsetted when his team has to go 4 vs 5 on offense.

He'll be able to hit his 3's in a couple of season and that will be enough offense to allow him to be a top PG. He's a great passer, floor general and a very good defender. Just needs to hit 36% of his 3's which I think he'll be able to do.

As Towns becomes more and more dominant inside that shot will become more open for him too. Wiggins demanding more attention from opponents will also make a difference.

The Wolves are fine and Rubio will not fetch anything decent in a trade right now. They happen to be in a situation where patience can pay off big time. It's great that they have KG, Tayshaun Prince and Andre Miller on the team. Those guys will teach the young ones how to work hard and play hard.

Problem is he's been a pro since the age of 14 and had some of the best coaches and teammates in Europe, that makes it pretty much 11 years of pro basketball and being around great personnel with absolutely no improvement on his jumpshot. Not buying that a few more years will suddenly change that.

Been saying this about Rubio for many years. He is what he is. His young age belies that he's pretty much a finished product. One of the worst full-time offensive players ever in the backcourt.

Jason Kidd was piss poor from 3pt range for years. Players do change later in their careers, and it's not necessarily a coaching thing. They can pick up on something that was messing with them mentally. They can re-work their shot a couple of times.

I think he's focusing on too much right now. I agree he's not going to become a good offensive player. But if he diverts his attention to nothing but his 3pt shot, he won't be a liability anymore on that side of the ball.

Jason Kidd was a comparison people used to make in Rubio's rookie year and even his sophomore year. But it doesn't fit anymore. Kidd shot 44/37/76 in his fifth year. Rubio is shooting 34/27/84 in his 5th year in the league.

rockets should trade for him if they can get him for scraps and re-invent his shooting. teach him to shoot from scratch all over again during the summer.

Maybe Rockets should hire whoever taught Gary Payton how to shoot. The first couple of years, Gary was a terrible shooter, but he was a very good shooter by the end of his career.

Rubio just does everything so well, but shoot. Just a shame he isn't even an average shooter right now.

Ricky Rubio would electrify our offense.

Were you the clown that said he would be a top 5 PG the minute he joined the NBA?

I have always been with you on the Rubio train I just think it's left the station already. I would love to have him but not sure it's a possiblity anymore. The dude is a walking triple double heck even a walking quadruple double.

On offense when he is on ball dominant looking to pass, he is a zero. The defense can go 4 on 5, doubling off him whenever they please.

    Fixed*

Also as for electrifying our offense, I think he would be a terrible fit with Harden on offense unless Harden decides to start playing of ball, which he hasn't was with Lawson on the team who is also a great passer. I like rubio, wish he would develop a shot or learn how to finish around the rim to take his game to another level, don't see him as a good fit with the Rockets on offense.

Everybody is talking about it would be 4 on 5 on offense with Rubio I hope y'all say the same thing about it being 5 on 4 on defense with harden.

I think you are confusing Rubio with Rajon Rondo who has 19 triple doubles since Rubio has been in the league. Rubio has 4.

Hell, Michael Carter-Williams has more triple doubles than Rubio with 5 on 2 less years.

I swear some of these Rubio fanboys are worse than Lin fans, always making excuses for the worst shooting PG in NBA history. Even when only counting a player's first 5 years (to remove the Rondo/Kidd arguments about them being bad shooters at first), he is still the worst. BY FAR!! It's not even close.

And this is his worst season to date.

Oh, and he's yet to lead a team to .500, much less the playoffs. So, there's that, too. And that's with Adelman as coach and Love as a teammate.
