Maybe if Harden agrees to help repair his ankles and takes it easy on him in practice he can come at a discount.

Flip likes Russell. Flip would trade Rubio for Russell.

Flip would trade Rubio and Okafor for Russell and Karl Anthony Townes.

Flip would trade Rubio and Karl Anthony Townes for Russell and Okafor.

If Flip takes Russell at 1 then Philly is on the clock at 3. Could Flip convince Hinkle to trade #3 for Rubio? I doubt it. Would Hinkle draft whichever of the 2 bigs is left and offer Flip Nerlens for Rubio? Possibly. Would Flip agree to Rubio for Nerlens? Does Flip think Russell and Nerlens are better than Rubio and one of Okafor/Townes? Dunno.

Let's assume Philly takes Mudiay in this scenario with Russell going #1.

Would Pjax trade #4 (Okafor or KAT) for Rubio?
Dunno. Perhaps Minny could add in some picks/assets that would allow the Knicks to trade back into the mid first round and draft Lyles? Rubio and assets for Lyles in trade for #4 allowing Flip to pair Russell/Wiggins with Okafor or Townes?

Let's assume Knicks take the remaining player left of the Big 4 and skip on a trade for Rubio.

Orlando at 5 doesn't need or want Rubio.

At 6 is Sacramento. They may be willing to trade pick 6 and a couple contacts for Rubio. Would Flip prefer Russell and either WCS or Kaminsky to Rubio and either Okafor or Townes?

If Flip takes Russell at 1.......it changes things. This is why Flip is saying he'll trade Rubio in the right deal. If he likes Russell plus whatever he can get for Rubio more than he likes Rubio and worker Okafor or Townes then he'll pull the trigger on a Rubio trade and take Russell at 1.

Bro if Hayward is getting 15M and Parsons is getting 15M Rubio for 14M isn't a bad deal esp with the massive bump in capspace in a couple of years. In fact this can be a major bargain because when the max reach 20+M Rubio will still be making 14M PER.

As early as next season Minny could be OKC JR with Rubio, Wiggins and Towns or Okafor.

What about Russell, Wiggins, and KAT or Okafor together for the next 4 years at least before Wiggins can possibly become a free agent? Those 3 plus a top 5 lottery pick next season plus tons of cap space.

What about Russell, Wiggins, and one of Hezonja/Winslow together for the next 4 years at least before Wiggins becomes an unrestricted free agent? Those 3 together plus a top 5 lottery pick next season plus tons of cap space.

Would Flip take Prig for Rubio in a sign and trade?

Too much. I'd be willing to give up Jones and the number 18, probably Papa too for salary purposes. But I have the feeling the Wolves would want a lot more and would get better offers. Rubio is an alright fit next to Harden, I'm concerned about the spacing when the two are out there together- especially given how our offense is built on three point shots.

Rank every NBA city for player popularity, and the Wolves are probably in the bottom third. They have no choice but to overpay.

Man, he's only had like 1 full season due to injuries... I don't think he's worth it.
