Wow!!!!! http://www.mackbrown-texasfootball.com/pages/releases/2002_03/007/121302_20.html AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas football team had its annual awards banquet on Friday night at the Frank Erwin Center and the Longhorns honored this season's most outstanding individuals for their contributions on the football field, academically and within the Austin community. Possibily the biggest announcement of the night occurred when junior WR Roy Williams declared his intentions to return to UT for his senior season. Terrific, terrific news.
It's because he wants to still be the best Roy Williams in his respective field. If he went to the NFL, he'd play 2nd fiddle to the Cowboys' Roy.
It's because he will breaking all kinds of records with Vincent Young throwing to him. We wont be overrated next year
WOW! I really can't believe he's coming back, I guess the risk is more acceptable with the big insurance policies they can take out these days. Can you say unstoppable offense? I think you can.
*Yawn* Just kidding... That is great news for Horn fans; I hope that both McGahee and Andre come back for Miami next season.
that made my day that much better. damn, i need to cut college gameday out of my budget. now its that much harder to do.
Seriously? I'm glad he's coming back, but I don't know if Young will be starting next season. There was an article in the AAS saying Mock is ahead right now, but we'll see how spring practice goes. I don't know how you could not start Young. I hear Vasher is supposed to return as well, but don't quote me...
Applied to UT , but was rejected. Got accepted to Arizona State, but I'm an FSU fan. Wanna be UT student, but can't be. Sad song, ain't it.
Yep, a bunch of football players were out on Friday night. I only recognized Roy, Lionel Garr, and Rod Wright (glasses). Mock has had 3 years in the system, so it's his job to lose. I have a feeling that Vincent will struggle with reading defenses and picking up blitzes if he starts right away. Better to bring him along slowly. Matt Nordgren should get his transfer papers ready.
