That's what I mean. The d league will either make or break him. If it breaks him then it will be Royce who voids his contract and walks away. Not the Rockets.
Still a big supporter of Royce and glad that the Rockets are doing what they can to insure his success. It is a testament to the skill set he possesses that they are willing to work with him to this extreme. On the other hand, based on the lack of compassion and vitriol shown in these threads, I'm starting to hope he does well simply to shut some of you impatient, knee-jerk, misunderstanding, ignorant bastards up.
This is how you know the guy is not getting good treatment for his anxiety disorders. If he had a good treatment team, he would know by now that his taking the bus and saying that he might miss games speaks to his lack of treatment progress and is not a healthy sign by any means. You are right- he is not doing his cause any favors. You can tell from some of the responses on this board comparing his anxiety disorder to things like war injuries, heart disease, etc. Some people here really don't understand that anxiety disorders are largely behavioral and can be overcome. If you promote the idea that anxiety disorders are a lifelong thing that can't be overcome, you are hurting your own cause because it's simply not true. With good treatment and an attitude that you can beat the problem, as well as hard and difficult work in doing so, anyone can overcome their anxiety disorder. Yes, anyone. It doesn't have to be a lifelong affliction that you have to accommodate in such extreme ways as Royce is showing. He is hurting his own supposed cause and I think it's really a shame what is happening here. It's like watching a trainwreck and I only hope that at some point either White changes his tune or the Rockets set firmer limits with him.
Knock him out and transport him across state lines w/o his knowledge.....that's called kidnapping and it is a federal offense.
Morey just needs to pay someone to drive into his bus so that Royce will realize his chances of dying in a car accident are much greater than in an airplane.
Yeah, that'll work. Next thing you know he'll get anxiety getting onto anything with a motor. He'll negotiate for a clause in his contract that allows him to scoot to the "nearby" away games.
FORGET it. Drugging him (every game?!) or sabotaging his bus is not the answer here. Yes either strategy could work, but someone of D.M.'s stature can't possibly risk being linked in any way to stunts like that. He'd have to get someone to do it for him, not on the rockets books, & even then... just drop it. You have to understand, these ocd guys, some of the real severe cases that require wranglers (not saying he is, as he's obviously mostly functional) are capable of derailing everything going on around them. If you let them, their little routines will dictate everyone else's life if you start giving in to them & they realize their power. They will ocd you to DEATH.
if he doesnt want to do whatever is necessary to fulfil his contractual obligation, then thats breach of contract and the Rox should sue him for the 'value' of a #16 pick and let him pay it off, while working at Dairy Queen... imo...lol
