I cant believe how self centered some of you are. Specially the ones who speak about this who have no idea what more extream anxiety feels like or is about.I have always been a huge rockets fan but from someone who suffers from this myself i back Royce White 100%..Please treat this man as a human and also treat him as our teamate who plays for the team we all love. We are doing pretty well rite now,and why cant we treat this as a player injury? Let Royce rehab his injury and rejoin us when he heals. Royce has someone who specializes with him in his anxiety issues. Someone he is familiar with, someone he trusts and has history with him and his case. No reason to start new with new team doc if he doesnt want to.Deff dont agree with any fines brought about from this issue. Have compassion for this man,who suffers from this health issue that most of you have never expierenced. Embrace him and support him so we can get him on the court as soon as possible.

I have no idea of what it must be like to have the condition that Royce has.

If you think of the NBA as a fraternity, it's up to the rookies to prove that they belong.

Royce has tweeted that he is doing all this for his medical condition.

How about other athletes in other sports that deal with other medical conditions?

If I remember correctly, doesn't Jay Cutler deal with diabetes, that's a medical condition too right? Does he use it as an excuse when he plays badly or to miss games or practice?

I'm not saying anxiety disorder and diabetes are one and the same, of course they aren't, but they are medical conditions- loosely speaking.

The way I see it, there are athletes out there who deal with medical conditions that don't use those conditions as an excuse for not living up to the terms of their contract. In other words, being a professional; showing up to practice, showing up for games, earning your paycheck; earning your place on the team: earning your place in the league.

If this is a purely medical problem, then let it be a medical problem.

BUT if this is about playing time, roster spots and not being able to accept being sent to the D-league (a positive move IMO) then let it be about that.

    Be professional about this Royce.

This is the NBA. Prove you belong.

There is more going on than just GAD and OCD. There is some serious paranoia running rampant upstairs. No telling what other demons have taken roost.

I think the main concern is that he's tweeting all of this stuff. This is a matter that should be handled in private, between him and the front office/coaches. He shouldn't be tweeting about this private matter.

I wish Jeremy Lin had a little Royce White in him. "Camp out at the three point line? No way."

Another thing, all these anxiety warriors or whoever he thinks he's #STANDING UP for, does he realize what kind of damage he is doing to future players with mental illness. Next guy who has a mental disability will be looked at and then compared to Royce, and the teams will see what kind of crap the Rockets have to go through with this guy. Congrats for doing some serious damage to your cause Roy. Does this guy have parents? Friends? Someone within reach of him? Take the phone out of his hand and slap some sense into this mofo.

Howard Chen should read Royce's tweets during the game tonight. It'd be a lot more interesting.

Yea I think he misdiagnosed him with GAD when he obviously has NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder)... usually the misdiagnosis is the other way around... This sounds like Royce to me:

"The narcissistic solution is to avoid comparison and competition altogether and to demand special treatment. The narcissist's sense of entitlement is incommensurate with the narcissist's true accomplishments. He withdraws from the rat race because he does not deem his opponents, colleagues, or peers worthy of his efforts.

As opposed to narcissists, patients with Anxiety Disorders are invested in their work and their profession. To be exact, they are over-invested. Their preoccupation with perfection is counter-productive and, ironically, renders them underachievers.

It is easy to mistake the presenting symptoms of certain anxiety disorders with pathological narcissism. Both types of patients are worried about social approbation and seek it actively. Both present a haughty or impervious facade to the world. Both are dysfunctional and weighed down by a history of personal failure on the job and in the family. But the narcissist is ego-syntonic: he is proud and happy of who he is. The anxious patient is distressed and is looking for help and a way out of his or her predicament. Hence the differential diagnosis."

If you retweet Royce and put in whatever ridiculous hashtag he's looking for I bet he'd read it without knowing the difference.
