maybe it's the bleeding heart liberal in me, but i really want to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. i absolutely love his game. i also have respect for people who are able to overcome things like mental illness and inspire others. But i am also someone who thinks hard work and a team-first attitude are non-negotiable. Trying not to be rash, but how can one reconcile missing practices and games/ not being there to support your team; especially if you are not hurt? And if it's an anxiety issue, things are much worse than i realized and we should not have taken a 1st round risk on him. That's like paying an agoraphobic doctor millions of dollars to be part of Doctor's without Boarders, and then being upset that it's not working out.

Wow. This tweet sounds incredibly immature and then the #anxietytroopers is almost the excuse for his bad behavior.

    Dear Royce:

Les is taking away the bus and making him take a used single engine Cesna down to RGV. Bad news is that Clutch is the pilot :O

    He should read 2Thessalonians 3:10...

'For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.'

If he is truly reading the Bible and has faith in The Lord then he should claim the victory promised and get on with the job...and concentrate on Phillipians 4:13 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me' & not the next verse, which it seems he is...

Phillipians 4:14 'Nevertheless you have done well, that you did share in my affliction.' The NIV says 'Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles.'

Or in modern day speak... thanks for reading my Tweets.

Sorry for the Bible lesson, but I can't stand it when people use Scripture as an excuse to justify their own failings and shortcomings.

And before anyone hates on me for not taking into consideration his mental illness, I used to have close to the same anxiety disorder. It is a living hell, I agree, but I was able to overcome it without the aid of fat checks and a professional sports organisation bending over backwards to accommodate me, support me and facilitate treatment.

I like the guy and wish nothing but the best for him in life, not just on the Basketball court, but there is a way of handling things in a mature and professional manner...tweeting is not it, just ask T-Will how venting down the Twitter path turned out for his career.

And as someone who spends countless hours in a Children's hospital on a weekly basis, my patience is wearing thin with Mr Royce Whites act. I wonder how he will feel when his contract is voided and he has to return his bus.

We have no reason to bemoan drafting White. Remember the Johnny Rivers song "The Snake?" Perfect analogy.

On the way to work one morning
down the path along side the lake
    A tender hearted woman
    saw a poor half-frozen snake

    His pretty colored skin
had been all frosted with the dew
"Oh, well" she cried, "I'll take you in
and I'll take care of you."

    CHORUS

    Take me in tender woman
Take me in for heaven's sake
    Take me in tender woman
    SSSSiiiiggghhhhed the SSSSSSnake

She wrapped him up all cozy
    in a comforter of silk
and then laid him by the fireside
with some honey and some milk

She hurried home from work that night
and as soon as she arrived
She found that pretty snake she'd taken in
    had been revived.

    Chorus

She clutched him to her bosom
    "You're so beautiful" she cried
"but if I hadn't brought you in
by now you might have died."

Well she stroked his pretty skin again
and then kissed him really tight,
    but instead of saying thanks,
the snake gave her a vicious bite.

    Chorus

"I saved you!" cried that woman
"and you've bitten me but why?"
"you know your bite is poisonous
    and now I'm gonna die."

"Ha ha, shut up, silly woman (fans)."
said that reptile with a grin.
"You knew darn well I was a snake
    before you took me in."

Don't read too much into this tweet, at least not in regards to the missed practice...he tweeted this around 7 am.

I sympathize with his disorder, but what does it have to do with showing up for work? Stop the tweeting and BS and either get to work (D-League is a gret opportunity for him to get PT), or admit that you aren't willing to work for unit and don't waste our time. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, but we aren't going to babysit him AND pay him millions of dollars.

    Literally Squid 2.0

We lost a first rounder because of TWill

Looks like we lost another first round pick for picking White.

I sympathize also, but only to a point. If White keeps up these shenanigans, he is going to find he has run all his sympathizers out of the house.

There really shouldn't be a problem, go to DLeague and get some run it's not like they reduce your pay to play there. Swallow your pride and work to earn your minutes.

At this point the only sympathy I have is for the Rockets organization who have wasted a couple million bucks and a 1st round draft pick on this clown.

Playing ball is the best thing for him right now. I believe basketball is something that causes his anxiety to dissapear and allows him to become a different person. He needs the basketball in his hands to get out of his own head. It'll be great for him.
