I don't think thats related "Earned not given" is like the new cool motto all the kids are saying. Like "hard work dedication" "rise and grind" and all the other douche bag mottos

I just read some of his tweets, he's beyond delusional. Thinks he's enlightened or educated to the point where the world doesn't understand his plight. Clearly more interested in twitter & drama than basketball.

I'm done with Royce White. If he somehow manages to overcome his problems and can be a productive player for us, good.

But I'm done expecting anything from him.

When he didn't show up to training camp, he was criticized and immediately defended by people who said, "If you don't have anxiety issues, you can't understand what he's going through."

Maybe I can't understand. Maybe I have anxiety issues of my own and I deal with them by having a drink before I go out. Either way, I don't care about his issues. I'm a Rockets fan first and foremost and his behavior is detrimental and a distraction to the team.

When I watched his draft video, my gut reading of him was "spoiled douche." I know he has mental problems and blah blah blah, but that initial impression gets worse every time I have to hear about him. Whether it's twitter (which is damning evidence of the douche part) or reading about skipping games and practices because he's afraid to go outside, I find myself liking him less and less.

I know all you "anxious" people will get butthurt about it, but I really don't care. At the end of the day, you either put on your big boy pants and go to work, or you hide in your house and act like a punk on twitter.

Also, why is everyone acting like his mental problems are not a part of his athletic ability? The last time I checked, the brain was part of the body. You wouldn't draft a player with a limp, so why would you draft someone who won't show up to his job because he's scared? It has the same ill effect either way.

Royce has been very vocal about using his "condition" to bring attention to the problem of mental illness. I think many people suffer from very serious mental illnesses, but he's not one of them. He's just afraid of social interaction, doesn't want to play ball, and likes the attention he gets from being "troubled."

    I'm done with this dude.

Anyone want to start the countdown as far as how much longer White is a Rocket?

    T-minus ...?

I doubt Greg Smith's tweet was related to what Royce is doing. It's just a coincidence. Greg tweeted it at 6:22 yesterday evening, and if I remember correctly, Royce didn't start on his meltdown til around 8. Unless the players knew ahead of time what was going on with Royce and the Rockets.

I also find it funny that he said that this is about support vs his anxiety. Yet, his tweets have gone from being about his health to this being a support thing.

This is how I see this going down...fast forward...
    1) Royce's contract is voided.
    2) Royce sues the Rockets for discrimination.
    3) Rockets win lawsuit.
    4) Royce becomes another sad stat and punch line as a former Rocket player.

Everyone should hold their horses. How did we get to a point in life where everyone wants to believe or over-analyze everything that's ever posted on the internet?

OMG GREG SMITH SAID SOMETHING VAGUE ON TWITTER AND ROYCE USES TWITTER SO IT MUST BE RELATED TO THIS SITUATION!!!!!!11

If the fines do not work at shutting him up, he wont make it past Christmas.

Les just ate 5 mil in salary this preseason in waived guaranteed contracts. I dont think he will lose sleep in waiving another 3.2 mil if this keeps on going.

When teams release a statement through the Chronicle saying they have no plans on trading, waiving, X player.... when they say "right now" they probably mean not right this second, but next week maybe.

    One thing's for sure...

Once the Rockets are done with him, so am I. He could go on to be the next Scorsese or Brahms or whatever he wants to be, but I can't support someone who throws his organization under the bus so publicly.

So many people were praising his maturity, professionalism and candidness around draft time, but in this event he has shown zero in these categories.

Grow up Royce, keep your appointments, and get better - as a Rocket fan I am expecting a sincere apology in the far future.

Yikes this saddens me. I am still really rooting for Royce. Hopefully everything figures itself out & we can send Royce down to the D-league where he can get some meaningful play time. I feel for him & i don't want the rockets to give up on him but Royce shouldn't be tweeting like this. He needs to go talk to management in person.

He's a baby. He's manipulative and trying to play the sob story to get people on his side. Dump him. His attitude is not the kind of culture we want to build in a young team.

Aside from everything else, calling your boss "head honcho" is probably also not the best idea ever.

But wait...it's okay because he has "anxiety".

Christ almighty, his agent has got to be requesting the Pentagon to call in an EMP to disable this guys phone. Thousands of dollars are flowing out of his pocket with each tweet.

    Amusing, but enough already.
