Ron Artest has a therapist traveling with him, I remember reading that on ESPN when they were talking about his mental health issues, so I don't think it's that.

This has been covered on the board: White can have a personal doc. He can see that doc every day, before and after practice and games, if he wants. The Rockets cannot prevent that per CBA. The Rockets can only prescribe a doc if White is not showing up for work.

We have no reason to believe White about anything until he actually says something of substance. Months into this crap and he still won't talk specifics. And won't do interviews with anyone who will ask him to cut the bs and be specific.

The solution is simple: have a league-wide doctor that is assigned to address mental health issues. Before a player is allowed to enter the draft, they must sign an agreement that acknowledges that these doctors will be their mental health professional.

Otherwise a player can use any quack as his doctor who allows him as much time off as he wants, even if it's unnecessary.

I'm quoting this for emphasis. I went back to read White's statement after reading this post and it is striking how White doesn't note which doctors he's referring to. It's likely he's referring to his own doctors. Remember, his own doctor was the one who originally said he required a bus, so who knows what else White has got that doctor to agree to recommend for White's mental health.

I can't believe this guy. Rockets believed him and took him with a lottery pick in an atmosphere that probably no other team would select him because of his problem. And he blames Rockets organization with a bad treatment. Good luck loser, you'll only get 1 chance like this in your lifetime, and you ***** on it.

Dump this dude already. He damaged all prospects for the mentally ill in the nba. Rockets has no business investing and developing white just see him pull some crap during the most inopportune time like the playoffs. White seems the type to pull such a stunt. White can cause the franchise significant harm. Cut the idiot.

His conduct is not helping anybody in the real world. I will think long and hard before even considering hiring a mentally ill person now. And that's the truth. Unrealistic demands such as white's can ruin a business.

White, do what everybody else does when you are disadvantaged, work harder. You are entitled to nothing.
