So everyone here is ripping on Royce White and his family about a party that has nothing to do with anyone of them?

Maybe if Royce was being treated by a mental health professional instead of his family doc, some of us might buy in to Royce's side of this debate.

The whole thing is very weird. None of it makes sense.

I guess we will never know.

No. I'm saying if he hadn't pretended to be an invalid in a moronic attempt to further a political cause, instead deciding to show that despite his handicap he can be a "normal" productive basketball player it would have done great things for future players with mental illness. Instead of that, he showed that he's nothing but a big bag of crazy, advancing the stereotype and making it unlikely that any team would take a chance on the next kid suffering mental illness. No one wants to waste draft picks, and Royce White is most certainly a complete bust.

No team is EVER going to give up control of their team to a panel of doctors, just isn't going to happen. Royce White isn't the first basketball player suffering mental illness, he's just the first to be a baby about it. The whole protocol BS is not something he needed, it is just something he wanted to push forward because he thinks he's some kind of MLK for mental health rights. It was just another sign that his priorities are all screwed up and he's not going to be a successful professional basketball player.

Very weird indeed. The grammar seemed too terrible to be true. That and who greets the neighborhood AND asks the neighborhood not to call the cops at the same time.

In case the neighbors smelled the pot, which is a clueless thing to do if you're claiming Royce White is there. Who knows, maybe they made the sign after smoking some spliffs.

Yeah, obviously Royce White wouldn't be in a place where people were smoking weed, he thinks that smoking weed causes mental illness.

Who in the world would pretend to be Royce White's family and friends? Not buying that. I believe it was them. No one would ever make that up. He's too obscure.

If you say so. Or maybe it really is a waste of time because you wouldn't change your mind no matter what. And you have enough people to argue with, you don't need another one. Keep fighting the good fight brother, just like your boy! ;)

Actually teams give up control to doctors all the time. NFL teams require a doctors go ahead if there's a concussion issue. Doctors give a go ahead for seriously injured players due to insurance issues.
Again, you made a circular argument by claiming that Royce is "pretending to be an invalid" and thus his priorities are screwed up. His priorities are only screwed up if, indeed, he is faking and vice versa. Do you see it now?

No, you clearly don't understand. He's admitted that he could have practiced, he could have played, but he decided to try to further a political agenda. That's pretending, his priorities ARE screwed up. This should be obvious.

Actually, he said if he played and practiced without a protocol he was putting himself at risk. Whether he's right or wrong, that's what he said. I'm not sure where you're getting this other stuff.

Yeah, I guess he was ok with it during the summer league, and before he signed that contract.

I admire your defense - but I don't happen to agree with any of it.
