Personally.. I really dont think this note says anything about Royce other than his entourage is incredibly stupid, but aren't most professional athlete freeloading entourages anyways?

Using the NBA seal for a private party is a finable offense, and Im sure someone will eventually contact Royce about this if it was really sent out to that many of the residents in the neighborhood.

However, most likely, Royce had nothing to do with this and probably had very little to do with planning this party in his honor.

    You all need to #BeWell.

He is playing and this is how you treat him? I'd hate to see what happens when he has am off game.

Wait, has he had an "on" game? I only saw those two mediocre games he played for the Vipers, were there more games I missed?

Don't know what to believe coming out of Royce's mouth but I probably should give him the benefit of doubt no matter how small it may be.

White is one of the much more well spoken athletes I've seen.

    But he's also hilariously stupid.

Jesus. I'm starting to become embarrassed that I ever defended this guy.

Basketball should be his primary focus, it's his career choice the last time I checked. If he wants to do something else, quit and pursue it. It's that simple.

He was tweeting about Jim Buss and then said #LakersNation. I would embed the tweet but I'm on my phone.

He obviously knew he shouldn't tweet #LakersNation when he plays for the Rockets
I think he gets off on the negative attention he gets. I doubt he amounts to anything in this league.

Say what you want about Royce as a basketball player/employee/person, but he's one of the most talented trolls we've ever seen.

Your argument boils down to this: for Royce White to pave the way for other mentally ill players he needs to act like someone who doesn't have a mental illness. How does this help the next guy or Royce?
Try telling a guy with no legs he could pave the way for other leg less athletes to run in the Olympics by competing without legs. That's basically what you're saying.
Of course Royce needs a set of procedures he can rely on. And of course those procedures need to be overseen by doctors, not front office staff. It's perfectly legit to say he wasn't worth drafting. It's another thing to see a guy already drafted and not deal with the situation at hand.

Why don't you try telling a guy with no legs he could run in the Olympics and not shoot his girlfriend a few months afterwards.

    Too soon?

BTW, I was gonna make a counter-argument, but after reading most of your posts in this thread I realized it would be an enormous waste of time, so I settled for a cheap Oscar Pistorious reference.

that's what we need a power forward who is afraid to fly, constantly on twitter, has a mental disorder and then to top it off wants to pursue his interest in fashion. I'm only 30 years old but this new generation makes me sick. All of these extra soft brothers wearing skinny jeans, suspenders, skirts, nerd swag and many other questionable choices in attire. Its only a matter of time before half of the NBA comes out of the closet.

    Update (sort of):

My buddy who sent me this pic says he knows someone with a husband who works in the Rockets organization and he emailed him. The guy replied and said this is not the real Royce White.

He said they walked by the house Saturday night and it was real crowded but pretty quiet. A smell of pot coming from the house.

Sunday morning, some neighbors on the street went to knock on the door and tell whoever was in the house to clean up all the trash left on the street the night before and they were long gone.

The whole episode seems too weird to be true. But these people, whoever they are, deciding to reference Royce White of all people....just seems so random.

    Sorry for the anticlimactic update...

Translation - I can't come up with a counter argument so I'm going to pretend it's a waste of time despite taking the time to make a bad joke.
