Conspiracy theory: he got freaked out over flying so made up a promise to avoid traveling to workouts.

So far, Royce White is the only guy brought to Target Center whom the Wolves will consider with that 18th overall pick, IF*they don't trade the pick.

They'll probably bring a couple guys in early next week, but it's very likely the player they draft -- if they draft anybody -- will not have set foot inside Target Center.

    Unless, of course, it's White.

Otherwise, they'll likely take somebody who falls in the draft, who thought they were going well before No. 18 so they didn't waste their time coming to Minneapolis.

That list includes guys like Duke's Austin Rivers, Washington's Terrence Ross or maybe guys like Kentucky's Terrence Jones or Baylor's Perry Jones.
Btw, White cancelled all his workouts not long after visiting Target Center last week.

ESPN.com's* Chad Ford tweeted tonight that he's hearing White has got a promise from Boston with the 21st pick.
Will he still be there then?

Remember, the Wolves have the inside pipeline on White from ISU coach Fred Hoiberg...

i want him at #16. He absolutely fills up the stat-sheet and he can play two different positions. I want him.

What if Boston offered you a top 3 protected first rounder in next season's draft for White?

Lol Corliss Williamson sucked in the NBA. He only had a few good (not great) years on sh!tty Kings teams.

We don't have a first round pick next year unless we make the lottery.

That's what people like Dalembert, Scola, Lee, Bud, Kev Martin, Llull, and other assets are for. You know, guys that basically have no future on this team.

    NOW MOVE THEM MOREY!

I don't see the fascination with white. Had a chance to watch some games and he's another tweener. A smallish tweener at that without great lateral movement. I would say morris has more upside as a tweener than royce, but carry on.

Didn't read all of the posts so not sure if this has been asked but does this guy use his left at all? I've seen where he drives left but still finishes with his right.

I said Royce can have a better career than Williamson because he's more skilled but if he has a career like his than it's a great success (Borat voice).

Williamson played 12 years in the league and averaged 11 and 4. While playing tough and bringing the Nasty. That's nothing to laugh at. A lot of college players, NBDL hopefuls, players oversees, former draft picks, summer league tryout's, players cut, basically anybody that plays basketball could only dream to contribute and play in the league for 12 years.

hmmm...drafting a guy who has a fear a flying that bad is not ok no matter what talent he has (overlooking the obvious "ANOTHER tweener?" statement)

There's a number of players in this draft that are going to have solid careers. Royce White + Dion Waiters could be superstars.

If Royce White drops and lands at a playoff team like Atlanta or Dallas, it will be an absolute joke. He'll be handing out assists at will.
