Yes Royce White is different. Everything about him is on and off the court. He is easily the most hated player on the team. He says whatever he wants and doesn't stop until he gets his way. But just for a moment, lets just think about Royce White the player as far as next season goes.

Best Case Scenario: He works extremely hard over the off season, developes a mid range jumper that he can consistently knock down. He is able to earn minutes with McHale, and gives us a point forward who can take it from one end to the other. Lets say he is also able to improve his ball handling and passing skills (which are already very good) and becomes a nightmare for opposing power forwards.

Worst case scenario: He continues to struggle as an NBA player and shows no improvement. Eventually traded for a 2nd rounder or waived.

What do you think are the best/worst case scenario for Royce next season?

Best case scenario is he moves on, worst case scenario is he moves on. I think for him, the best thing would be for the Rockets to cut ties with him. He has already damaged his reputation not only with the management, but also with the coaches, players and fans.

Worst case scenario for us is also letting him go because it is a wasted pick and a waste of what could have been a pretty darn good talent to have on your roster.

The guy hardly wanted to work during the season, he will not work any harder during the offseason. That said, I really hope he proves me wrong.

A guy like D-Mo is busting his ass day in and day out just for a chance to SHOW that he can play. White is on the opposite side of the spectrum.

Why would he even play next year when he doesn't even show he wants to practice n prepare

What? he wants starter minutes just thrown at him

Best case: We don't hear from him again ... EVER.
Worst case: We don't hear from him again

Best: gets starting spot in Vipers
Worst: waived, have no chance to play in NBA, D-League

    I'm pretty optimistic.

Best: his iPhone dies, but the morey of the paraguayan league fronts him a new iPad as a recruiting gimmick -- so he goes n plays (& tweets) down there

Worst: his iPhone doesn't die from overuse, and he steals CP25's iPad from the locker room but forgets that chandler just came back from a road trip and left the iPad with "Airplane Mode' still switched on........royce goes into a panic attack and accidentally tweets some CP25-JL7 "private" pics -- Fox News starts a crusade against the Rockets franchise in a Sinsanity same-sex scandal, ESPN airs a dozen segments celebrating the players' courage and diversity with Stephen A. Smith so enamoured he ends up finally coming out himself too and as a dedication to his inspiration gets "CP" tattooed on his ass (no, not for Cheese Puffs), greg smith gets jelly and quits the team, and ho chen faints

Best case: In October, the Rockets decline his option for 2014/15 and Royce puts on a spectacular fireworks display on Twitter.

This is also my prediction. I really want to see how this guy reacts when he knows the gravy train will expire. I doubt he even has the mental fortitude to play out the string with the Vipers to continue getting paid all next season.

At some point, Royce White will be out of the spotlight and forced to create his own "protocol" for real life like the rest of us.

Best case: Royce is waived and goes to play in the Israeli league where every away game is max 2hr driving away.

Worst case: Someone bombs his bus when he's on his way to an away game in Israel.

I'd be happy if he shows up in excellent shape, having studied the playbook, and has finally sorted out all the arrangements/distractions before training camp.

If he just does that, I think he can have a great season. He would be an excellent PF for this team if he consistently works on his shot and low post game.

Best case: We stop talking about him.

Worst case: someone starts another Royce White thread.

Best case : he plays in an NBA game

Worst case : he has mental break down after being cut from team and resorts to actual violence against Morey or rockets organization.

    (Question taken seriously)

not really, if he came back next season and played great, all would be forgiven.

But the odds of that happening are slim to none.
