    Two data points, FWIW:

    1) At the start of the season, Ime singled out one player for praise. He raved about the work Sengun had done in the offseason to prepare himself physically.

    2) When Sengun was on Paul George's pod (I think last season?), he talked about how Ime was getting in Jalen's ear all the time, trying to whip him into shape. Sengun understands that this is what young players need (some more than him, but he didn't say that) and is clearly up for it. Good on him.

I think both Sengun and Jalen are trainable and will put the work in to improve. I just know if Jalen has the bbiq to be what we need him to be. I wouldn't give up on him until he has a chance to play without FVV. I think he is a momentum player and FVV's prodding offense is a deterent to him getting it going. If he can't play better without him or off the bench, he needs to be gone this off-season.

Royal Ivey literally says the same thing in almost every half time interview.

"We gotta be more physical, we gotta bring more energy, loose balls, 50/50."
"We're not being physical enough, we don't have enough energy, loose balls, 50/50."

I stopped capping halftime interviews this year, but going through old vids (from last season). The first one I came across of Ivey has 'phsyicality' in it (0:22). :D

Did I miss the part where he calls out Sengun? Sounds like he praised the physicality of Adam’s and y’all took that as a slight against Sengun? Sengun has to play tougher. It doesn’t matter how good he is or can be, we need him to be tougher. Why is that a problem to call out?

It's strange to hear coaches repeat the same thing during halftime interviews usually they provide unique insight into the fundamentals of the game.

It sounds like you may have actually missed it? The whining is about the first question she asks, the one about Sengun. It's got nothing to do with the second question about Adams.

Nope. I did not say that at all. I didn’t even mention anything about Jalen. Look at my previous post on Rockets declining drives per game since Udoka took over in 23-24. I specifically outlined the Rockets sets they run.

You are making a lot of assumptions. Please go back and read my posts on the matter. Specifically on the Rockets declining drives per game and the sets they run.

Again he was asked about what he thought of the “aggressiveness in the first half”. His response: “That’s who we are. Physical, aggressive team.”

What does this have do with his response when asked about Sengun last night?

Someone said that he always says the same stuff, "be more physical".

Did you also notice increasing wins since Udoka took over?

Also, what is your comment on these on/off numbers?

Did you even read anything I wrote? Obviously not. So no use in you continuing this conversation with me.

He was asked a question on that topic and he answered. As in most interviews the questions are general and rehashed. What’s the big deal? Nothing to do with His comments the other night which was specifically about Sengun’s intensity level which he had to raise to match Bam who outworked him all night. If you disagree with this please go back and watch the game. Maybe 2-3 more times with pauses and rewinds or whatever you need to observe this factual event that occurred.

    Facts:

    Sengun 8-14 FG, 18 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, +4 +/-
    Adebayo 4-12 FG, 12 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, 0 blocks -1 +/-

    More facts:

    Jalen Green 6-20 FG, 1-8 3-pointers, 19 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks, -10 +/-
    Tyler Herro 10-17 FG, 3-7 3-pointers, 27 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks, +19 +/-

Tell me again that Sengun is the problem.
