Roy to miss All Star game

    I'm more against that than for it. No doubt the Rookie-Soph game is good consolation in that deserving young players will still get to participate in case of an All Star snub.

    Though when Shaq started the All Star game his rookie year, there was also big time anti-rookie sentiment against him. More hazing than anything cuz of young guy getting too much too soon. But are you kidding? Shaq rookie year >> Dwight Howard ever.

    Sometimes NBA they have the "He'll get his later" mentality toward a young player. And in doing that it took Kobe Bryant until age 30 to win an MVP so they can give Steve Nash 2 MVPs.

    How about LaMarcus Aldridge to replace Roy? He is a blazer.
