polls are fun. get a whole country voting for you and *poof!* you are the starting center in the NBA all-star game...fact is, amare and yao have identical stats and should be co-ROY..if you take into account amare's upside vs. yao's give amare the edge.

I must be from another planet.

Last time I checked, Yao leads Aamre in every category of stat except Rebounds.

Boy you love to bash Suns fans. I don't see any of us here raiding your board or even trolling your board. I guess non-Rockets fans aren't welcome no matter what they're intentions are.

Don't let the actions of a few speak for all of us. ANY fan of ANY team is welcome here for some good NBA dialog. The problem is you are staying in a thread that is being dominated by what may here refer to as "Yao only fans". They know very little about basketball at all and are very annoying to us Rockets fans as well. You should take the time to look at the other threads and forums.

Thanks Htownhero, I figured that's what was going on. I have found that the vast majority of people here are just good, down to earth basketball fans, who love their team.

Its a shame that, for whatever reason, Yao and Amare fans are at each others throats. I am pretty sure that Houston and Phoenix alike are thrilled to death with their outstanding rookies.

To start off, you havent taken away anything from me. It has been 14 hours since my last post on this board. I have better things to do than to sit here and argue with you back and forth on this topic. Second, I still believe that is your picture. That is the worst excuse I have ever heard. Why dont you just come out of the closet or corner your hiding in? Be proud of who you are, which I am not sure there is much to be proud of. Be a man. Third, as I have said before, I am not a Yao fan. I am just simply defending one of our team's players. I think Francis, or who you guys refer to as "French-fries," is our teams best player and if he were moved to shooting guard like he was in college, he would be even better. I believe you guys are just mad because Marbs wasent selected to start at point in the All-Star game. Furthermore, I dont think he ever will be either. He doesnt get as much pub as some other players like Francis, Kobe, Duncan etc..... Publicity is how you get selected to the All-Star Game because it is just one big popularity contest. We dont stuff the ballot boxes for our players like Francis and Yao, as you guys have suggested we have done in your forum. But that's for anther time and topic. One more thing, are you guys still holding a grudge toward us for what we did to you in the 94'-95' playoffs? Dont get me wrong. I am not bashing the Suns Organization or the city of Phoenix. But you guys have bashing the Rockets and the city of Houston as you can tell from the messages that I posted from your board. That is something I have taken exception to. And that I why I am firing back. Dont get me started on your city , or your state for that matter. Finally, you are a CHICKEN****, and you know you had this comin' to you. You have repeatedly dodged the bullet, my request to you to tell us Rocket fans how to register on to your board and hold an intelligent conversation with Suns fans like you challenged us to. Why???? Are you scared now? I am not going to bash your team on your board like some of your members have been doing toward us. I just simply want to go over there and give my perspective on things, from a Rockets fan point of view. If your not going to be a man and answer my question, why dont you just drop this topic an give up? Because nothing else you say matters to me. So dont bother to reply if you are not going to give me the answer I am lookin' for. Nuff' said.

One more thing, you wanna talke about your taking away time from my life. Nah, it the other way around. I am takin' away time from you because you're still here posting at midnight on this topic while I'm gettin my groove on, if you get the picture. And I'm not talkin bout' dancin' either, son.

Oh yeah, I will have fun watching the Suns get beat down by the Spurs. Atleast we had some fun celebrating a couple championships we won a while back. Can you Sun fans say you did that? Nope. Will you be doing that in the near future? No!

I apologize for not reading any of your posts Tigger, my eyes started to glaze over when I saw that you devoted an entire book to me. In the future, why dont you just send me a private message if you have so much to say...that way, the rest of the folks on this board dont have to read that cr@p.

BTW, it doesnt take a genius to register on any of the Suns sites out there.

Why did I even waste my time trying to explain myself to someone who wants to act like such an A$Shole. Maybe you should have tried to read some of it, You probabaly would have agreed with me on some of it and realize I wasent here to bash your beloved Suns. I just wanted a chance to give my opinion and perspective. Then there would have been peace. But I guess you dont want that and your here to make trouble.

Well if its trouble you want, I'm not hard to find.

i think you have to be above a percentage point to define a 'lead'...

    Yao
    13.6 ppg
    8.20 rpg (2.4 offensive)
    1.60 ast
    0.35 stl
    1.75 blk

    Amare
    13.3 ppg
    8.90 rpg (3.1 offensive)
    0.90 ast
    0.72 stl
    1.04 blk

it's gotta be co-ROY..and if not give it to amare for not fading during the playoff push...

I ould go for Co-ROY too. About Yao fading late in the season, you have to remember that Yao has averaged more minutes than Amare and has played the entire season plus the Asian Games and the World Campionships Tourney' before that. He didnt get time to rest or adjust to American life or the NBA. He didnt even get a training camp for cryin out loud. He was just thrown from the pot into the fire. We all expected him to fade and tire out at some point in time. But we expected that to occur much sooner. I had alot of doubts about him. For him to play the way he has played through what he has gone through makes him a deserved R.O.Y. And I have watched Amare play and he is a fantastic player too. He proved that to me in the Minnesota game when he lit up MVP canadiate KG for 38 points. Caron Butler, Drew Gooden and Ginobilli are all good players and will be for a long time to come. But Ya and Amare are on another level. The same level that produced the Olajuwon's, Jordan's, Magic's, and Bird's of the past. To me, they both deserve the R.O.Y. and that's the way it should be.
