Holyfield hasn't earned this match-up especially when your talking about a championship bout. The last fight he won was against Rahman because of a classic Holyfield headbutt. This is a step backward from Ruiz for Jones, he needs to fight Tyson, Tua, Byrd or Rahman...then if he wins he needs to fight Lewis. period. Jones will come into the next fight at around 210 he will be a small, but legit heavyweight. Holyfield needed to retire 4 years ago, this "match-up" is all about money nothing else.

I agree it's all about the money and he doesn't deserve a shot at the belt. But all I'm saying is Evander will be very very dangerous and have a good shot at beating Jones if they fight because Evander will know how to use his size and stregth to his advantage.

Damn sometimes I forget that he's really really old. Yeah he's not much of a jabber like Lewis. It'll be an intresting fight nonetheless.

Your forgetting that Holyfield is a pumped up Cruiser weight, he only carries 215-225 into the ring he won't have the size, strength, or height advantage that Ruiz had. Then there is the age thing and he's coming off rotator cuff surgery. One positive is that it will be a fight, Holyfield will be going into win, but i'm pretty sure Roy will toy with him much as he did with Ruiz. Without a doubt he really is that much better than Evander this could be a KO for Roy. That Holyfield already had 3 chances against a guy Jones destroyed...well that speaks for itself.

He is smaller than Ruiz but he has a great chin and heart and fight a lot smarter. Jones doesn't look like he can fight with a guy in his face all the time and can't take hits too well. If he gets caught in the ropes or corner, its over. If he manages to keep separation throughtout the fight like he did with Ruiz, there's no chance Holyfield can win.

Speed is power and Roy Jones has tons of it while Hoyfield has lost most of his speed since he is way past his prime. I can see Jones reigning punches on Holyfield and getting a TKO victory.

"I'd totally fight Holyfield for a million dollars for one round!"

    "How bad could it be?"

    :D

    Those PUNK'D guys are hilarious.

BTW, for my 2 cents, Holyfield blows HARD! I remember one fight he had back in summer 2000 and all he did was keep his head down throughout the whole fight, really pissed me off and to actually think I paid for that PPV.

Last fight I payed for was the Holyfield vs Tyson. I'd say I got my moneys worth out of that one! Nothing like watching Tyson turn into a rabid dog and rip Holyfields ear clean off with his teeth. :D
