Back in the day, Tyson might have knocked Roy's head into the expensive seats. I'd like to see them fight now. I have a feeling though that Roy's quickness and overall skill would be enough to make up for Mike's power advantage.
you have to remember that the guys Tyson beat weren't exactly the all-star class of heavyweights, though. he fought michael spinks...that was it...and you'll never convince me that wasn't a lay-down job. other than that...who??? toney?? having said that...i do think tyson was one of the greatest of all time...but not the greatest ever. remember, he lost to buster douglas before he became a "weirdo"...he just started getting soft on preparation.
i did???? really??? man, i'm a freaking idiot, then!!! which should really be no surprise to you. maybe i dismissed it publicly..but secretly, adopted it!!! he did beat Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks...of course Holmes was 176 years old at the time. I met Frank Sinatra and Frank Sinatra told me that Holmes was 176 years old when Tyson beat him.
Man I love boxing as much as the next guy. I watched Ali reclaim the title in the 70's while I was stuck in bed with chicken pox. I watched Tyson destroy guys in my teen age years. I watch all the big fights and always pull for my favorite... but let me tell ONE THING my grandfather always told me... Boxing is fixed! No 2 ways about it, there is enough corruption to ruin the trust. Unfortunatly we have to take it all with a grain of salt.
I hate to jack this off topic, but are any of you guys familiar with the boxer Jermain Taylor? The reason I am asking is because I actually got to meet him at this boxing event that a fraternity at my school puts on. I know he is top five in his weight class. Does he have the potential to become a world champ? He is pretty famous in Arkansas (He's from Little Rock).
not all of it....not every fight. but i'll certainly agree...and in my lifetime, i've never seen better evidence of that than the Tyson/Spinks fight
Roy should have fought Hopkins within the last 5 years. Some BS about no 50/50, had to be 60/40 or something?

I maybe mistaken but arent tarver and jones jr the same age? i could have sworn they are both 32. But even I was surprised at the KO I felt Tarver would win but not that quickly. god damn, at least I made nice 50 on it though so I cant complain
So am I lucky or unlucky to have not purchased this ppv??? Is it worth the money to see Roy get KO at 2nd round?
