I understand the 1 yr part, but that is all he could get?

Roy was exposed a couple of years ago, but he is a formidable center imo. At least one idiot could overpay him in today's NBA...

No one with significant cap room needs a big. This is partly why we've seen a flurry of short-term deals since Durant committed.

Someone else I believe the Rockets could have taken a flier on. He's a big, serviceable body.

Wow, he's fallen off, but I didn't think he'd get paid this low. Mozgov basically got like 11M more per year than he did and they're similar players...

Calculated move by Roy to get one more massive contract so he can put it in coast mode.

Fantastic C when motivated, which is almost never.

It's the stink of the Lakers under Byron Scott. Jeremy Lin, too, had to take a small contract to prove his value after a year playing for Scott. Being a contributor to an actually competitive team should help one's market value.

GSW were looking for a C but I understand they went for Pachulia instead.

Roy has fallen quite a bit it would seem.

He's terrible. One of the least productive big men in the league.

Bad deal for Charlotte, mediocrity forever!
