    Steve/FA (Barry)
    Posey/Bokie/Steve/ FA (Barry)
    Griffin/Tmo/Bokie/Rice
    J. O'Neal/Tmo
    Yao/ J. O'neal/ Griffin

I don't know, we would have to pick some one else up in the draft or in the FA to find ourselves another guard, but I like Posey being a defensive player at the 2 position.

Let's say we don't like our bench, how hard is it to replace bench players? Compare that to how hard is it to acquire a quality PF to play in a super talented PF rich Western Conference? The price of getting O'neal IS NOT too high.

Our bench in 1994 was pretty solid, if not unspectacular. Chillcut was not even on that team. Brooks was our 4th quarter point guard for a good chunk of the season until Cassell started to come alive later in the season. Also, we had Carl Herrera and Matt Bullard, who were both solid. Bench was rounded out by a couple of late season CBA spark plugs in Jent and Robinson.

Forgot to mention that it's not too high especially when you get to keep Francis and Yao. :D

it's funny you mention that. did you notice that all of those that you mentioned are pretty much above average three point shooters that complimented (or is it complemented?) hakeem. do morris, norris, hawkins, and nachbar compliment the star players that the rockets have now plus o'neal? are they capable of it? i dunno. teams today seem to be more deep today then they were back then anyway.

sorry, but all i see is another big three fiasco. first "hakeem, drexler, and barkley" then "hakeem, barkley, and pippen" and now... "francis, yao, and o'neal"? sure it looks good on paper... but it always does.

i would love to have Jermaine o'neal. especially if we can keep Francis Yao and griffin. we can always get sme bench players as a free agent. maybe nachbar can play some more. And if we have Francis o'neal and yao who doesn't wanna play for us? those three would be great. but i fear we are just dreaming

The only way this pipe dream even gets talked about, if at all, from the Pacers perspective, is if Rox also take Croshere.

First off, Mobley/Taylor/Cato is too much salary wise. The max is like 13 million, correct? Those 3 make like 20 million, correct? I think it has to be Mobley and one of them to work salary wise.

The X factor in the two previous star trio was Barkley. Love the guy, but he ruined the chemistry both times. I don't see the same problem with either Steve, Yao, or O'neal.

Why would JO want to come here?

If he wants to be "the man", he would stay in Pacers. If he wants the ring, he would go to spurs. Money is not an issue as he can get the max anyway.

How can we share the ball between steve, yao and JO?

Barkley and Pippen were old, Jermaine O'neal is in his prime. He can give you 20 pts and 10 plus rebounds a night. and he can block shots

You may not post trade speculation if you want to trade for players whose names you cannot spell.....please edit your title. Thx.;)

Yes, ONeal can give you 20 points and 10 rebounds. But how would both Yao and Francis get their shots then? I worry Yao wouldn't get as many shots because ONeal would post up all the time.
And how could Griffin play the 3? Yes, he has a jumpshot. But he wouldn't be able to play defense at the 3. His best defense is blocking shots. At the 3, he would have to keep up with guys out at the perimeter.

Oneal is an unrestricted FA. He can sign with whatever team he likes and San Antonio might just offer him the max.

Besides, EG is not 3, simple as that.
