Those injured guys still take up roster spots, so it would only make sense to cut one to get the roster down to 15.

Clippers just waived someone to make a big trade, rumored to be artest. Has anything to do with us?

Really? It is said that the GMs around the league is waiting for the move of Artest before anything else. If Artest does get traded, it will trigger a flurry of trades around the league.

    Then why even sign JL3?

All we need now is for Dallas to sign JL3 and he can average 15/5/5

If the Rockets waived JL3 to sign Howard Eisely, JVG should get fired. JVG is a damn ageist and a liar. Today in the chronicle he all these good things to say about Lucas and he waives. I know CD is the GM but JVG is the one who tells him what moves to make.

That would make the Clippers pretty hard to beat.

    They would have what?

    1.Cassel
    2.Mobley
    3. Artest
    4. Brand
    5. and Kaman?

Yes, Clippers just cut H. Eisley. Check out prosportsdaily to see the article.

ageist lol... I don't think JVG is that dumb. We are probably going to sign someone or acquire someone(Bibby), Artest? You never know. Just have patience JVG isn't the only one making these desicions, he has people to ask and talk with.

I would think they have to give up someone on your list to get Artest

Thats true. Unless this were part of a three way trade (to facilitate Artest to a different team, say) and there is agreement not to announce before an agreed upon time. All speculative possibilities, of course.
If these are 10 day contracts, it is curious thay are letting them go before tomorrow's game (they were both signed Dec 29 and would still be on the payroll Thursday anyway against the Cavs). Graham, by contrast, was signed Dec 10 and waived Dec 19 (retained for the full two 10 day contracts?).
Then again, we may trying to read too much between the lines here.

Man do crappy players get nicknames these days or what. JL3...well, I guess it is easier to type, but still.

Cost cutting doesn't make sense...they just went to a lot of trouble to get the league to allow a 16th roster spot. Something has to be going down.

Yep, acquisition of a free agent like Sprewell, Eisley, Jason Williams could also account for opening up a roster spot.

Look at the responses on the board... you're telling me fans are patient? They don't expect the organization to be, either. :)

Since when do "NBA Execs" show up in person to negotiate trades? Isn't it more likely to be something with regard to the All-Star game?
