Quite the opposite. All the signals point to a trade/FA signing. We've been carrying 15 guys on the roster all year. Right now with JL3 and Davis cut, we're sitting at 14 guys. If the team cared about cost-saving on that last roster spot then we wouldn't have kept guys like Baxter and Glover in the first place. This isn't the Clippers where they try to cut every single corner in order to help the bottom line. Something is going down. I'm sure of it.
I'm not sure if you're aware of the Steve Francis scoop or not, but if you were, you'd know nothing's too crazy to doubt.
WTF, JL3 was good last night. He was becoming my favorite rockets. I think he helped set the tempo for the offense last night when T-Mac was out. This is the reason I hate JVG so much. This dude hates young players. I think the reason they waived JL3 was because if your on the roster on January 10, you contract is guaranteed for the rest of the season. Maybe they will sign him to a 10 day contract but you risk losing him to another team by waiving him.
If the 10th is the day contracts become guaranteed, why not wait until the weekend when Barry is scheduled to return. Cut him then and resign him later if needed (and it looks like we would). I can see the Davis cut, but I don't see why they cut JL3 unless Moochie just came forward with pictures.
My friend called back, he said the flight came in from Portland, but that 2 of them met with a limo driver(I guess to go to Toyota Center)...and the other was being escorted to another flight. I guess it could be related to the All-Star game? Heck if I know. Sorry if this just confuses everybody instead of helping, I guess it cant really be considered a scope can it? And the reason he didnt tell me right off is a privacy issue, he could have lost his job. Maybe CD will shine some light on all this when he annoucnes a trade, but dang I hope we arent dealing with Portland.
Maybe they will sign Jay Williams. I fell sorry for JL3. The kid played very hard and a lot better than Moochie and Wesley but he gets cut because they make more money.
why would nba execs spend time traveling to toyota center when deals are usually just made over the phone, its the players that travel. i was like all of you guys, becoming a fan of JLIII....
I haven't heard anything, but it would seem to me that they would announce those guys being waived WITH a trade announcement if they had one in place.
yeah its probably nothing more than freeing up some roster spots for injured players to return to action.
