I don't think we can get or really need a Steve Nahs, but I wanted to address this point: If your team has Mcgrady, Yao, and Nash, and your coach wants to play slow down, you need to take a long hard look at your coach.
OMG I THINK IM GOING TO HANG MYSELF.... CMON people get real....its not going to happen...We need role players like Brent Barry not freggin Steve Nash or Webber or Shaq....hey lets go get Kobe Bryant while we are at it I'm sure he will fit in great with Yao and T-Mac The Rockets have their championship core, they will now try and add role players to help get this team to a championship..If you think that we are getting another star....or two.....or hell why not 12...then you are sadly mistaken.
make sure you've seen nash play the past several seasons before making judgement like that. the only reason we should get Nash is because of salaries.
ummm...I think your missing the point dude It's not all about the way he plays. Even tho I dont think he would be a good fit for THIS team. My biggest point is we are not getting any more stars....period....just understand that and your life will be easier.. He woudn't fit in this system, Nash is a run and gun point guard that likes to take shots. They don't have a center they have to pass to in Dallas so he comes up and plays with Nowitzki and Finley and goes from there. He doesn't play hard nosed defense that we need at the PG spot that we need to put pressure on in JVG's defense. It's simple to see that. And i agree with others, we are not getting any more superstars that need shots, we are getting role players that will know they place on the roster and will make the team better with unselfish play.
but he's not a prima donna star. every year his ppg goes down and his apg goes up. he only scores 15 ppg on ~50% shooting. 8 assists per game. one of the best 3 point shooters in the league... sure we don't need like KG or KMart or anything, but Nash would be PERFECT for this team.
right exactly... that would be the ONLY reason we shouldn't go after him. meanwhile... i wish NBA were like NFL... then we can just cut MoT and Spoon and then sign Nash.
