Don't forget China. 50-80 million people watched that game, easy.

Just saw this on NBA . com. It's great, but I'm pretty sure most people are watching because they want to see the lakers lose.

Hey, fine by me. You guys can jump on the bandwagon on Sunday when we put them away for good.

Why? To see Yao sitting on the bench in a suit?

dude, people in China love Yao but they also love the rockets..

I'm Chinese but I'm not YOF or something...Battier, Wafer, Landry, Scola and Lowry are great to watch.

Pretty crazy... haha.. nobody really likes to watch the Rockets, but since everyone except the Laker fans are going for the Rockets.. it's not really surprising.

It's not really because people want to see the Rockets...its because it's David vs Goliath.

Also it has been a good series. The Bulls-Celts series did well and so did the Mavs and Warriors.

People like when a low seed tries their best to knock off a high seed, it usually means good ratings.

People in China weren't watching ESPN. This is about ESPN, not the total number of viewers worldwide.

I hope the CF servers can handle the influx of new members if we win Sunday.

ABC ratings will be through the roof. Let's hope the Rockets keep it close.

    Yao vs. Yi says hello.

I love the fact that the most watched basketball game in NBA history (and one of the highest rated television programs ever) is a random Rockets game in the middle of the season against the Bucks. How about that for anti-climactic.

Oh yeah, theres millions of people out there that would watch a basketball game because obama texted one of the players

I know that guy has a cult following, but I'm pretty sure it had more to do with the two teams playing and the fact that we're still in it even without our two best players.

Game 7 has the chance of being one of the highest rated games ever!

We're just talking about ESPN, not "Yao vs. Yi". The ratings are just for the US. The Yao vs. Yi came in the US didn't draw anything (wasn't even on national television).

    Hardly "anti-climatic".

    Wooo go rockets!

For me, I actually turn on all the tv's (3 to be exact) in my place whenever the Rockets are on national tv, in hopes of increasing the ratings. I guess it's paying off in my own little weird way :)

I know, it was a joke. And I think you misunderstood what I was talking about with "anti-climactic"

The point is, the most viewed basketball game of all time is a random Rockets game against the Bucks in November. I just find that ratehr funny thank you very much :D

Thats great that people are watching. Lets win one more baby! If we do, this could be the best upset since Lambda Lambda Lambda beat the Alpha Betas at the homecoming competition!

    That's pretty cool.

Hopefully AB, Scola, etc have earned some new fans, or at the very least, new found respect for their game. This is what great basketball is, NBA fans rejoice.

You know a lot of those people were watching the Rockets for the first time last night -- trying to figure out who all of our players were.

Brooks, Landry, Scola, Von Wafer, Chuck Hayes, Lowry, etc.
